Our next Tasting Thursday in Ashburton is just around the corner! With the theme of "Fun Alternatives to Everyday Wines" we'll be looking at wines to experiment with if you are bored of the standard Sauvignon Blancs, Pinot Grigios, Merlots & Malbecs.

We have tried only new wines at Jaded Palates. Each one has been carefully matched to our taste and each has been delicious. Ian is very knowledgeable and it's fantastic being advised on wines in a very welcoming setting. We feel encouraged to break all our habits and we have yet to be disappointed ! Thankyou. Highly recommended. Tonight we are trying a Rosè and it's superb.... if you are in Chagford do pop in...

Very good service. JP has a small but highly focussed selection of wines arranged by style rather than country which is innovative and refreshing. Loved the interior with the old vine on the bare brick wall.

Such a great time at the Bubbles evening, turns out I'm not a Cava fan but anything else goes! Look forward to the next one. Thank you �

Brilliant night

Just visited the new Ashburton shop which has been transformed. It looks great, uncluttered and stylish. The wine tasting upstairs was superb. Great knowledge of the wines from James - I'll be back soon!

Just returned from the Bubbles Tasting evening. Fabulous. Ian was so knowledgeable and patient, just relaxed and full of advice. The 5 wines he chose were very different and we all continually changed our minds about which we preferred. Fascinating evening. Will definitely return, Hugh,y recommended.

Jaded Palates and in particular, Ian himself, is an exceptional vintner. I have had the pleasure of visiting the shop in Chagford on a number of occasions now and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Not only does Ian make you feel welcome as any good retailer should, he takes the time to help you choose from the good selection of wines he has on offer and does so with expertise and enthusiasm.

Before I met Ian I had been in a rut of buying the same wine style and grape over and over, but now my eyes have been opened to other wines that Ian, through his knowledge and appreciation of my tastes, recommended I try.

So, if you like wine, or maybe even if you don't, take the time to visit Jaded Palates, you won't be disappointed.

I cannot recommend Jaded Palates highly enough! Not only is the shop beautifully fitted out and a visual delight but the owner is extremely passionate and very knowledgeable about everything to do with wine and the entire process from the grape to the bottle. He personally selects and tastes every bottle on the shelf (not during working hours, of course!) and deals directly with most of his suppliers to ensure he is getting the best quality wines at great prices. The wine tasting evenings are great fun and informative too - cheers!

Desperately needed a large quantity of a good quality rose for my daughter's 21st and Jaded Palates came to the rescue, selecting a lovely Languedoc wine at a very good price and arranging delivery to the remote venue in Cornwall at no extra cost. Thank you to the good people at JP for great service and excellent wine selection. Now, for my 50th...
