It's back to school for most children today. Well done parents - you made it through!!! It's now time to turn our attention to the Autumn. We are already taking bookings for Halloween parties, Bonfire night and that C word thingy that I won't mention just yet! Wedding bookings are flying in for next year. So, whilst our scorching summer may be a fond memory, it's all go for good times ahead. Oh, and our annual photo competition will start this Saturday!!! 😃

It's never a popular decision and we don't do it lightly but we have cancelled all outdoor hires today due to high winds. Please, please, please....if we have cancelled your inflatables, don't go to another provider that may still be prepared to do it. It isn't safe and any responsible hirer should be putting safety over profit!

My baby is coming of age! Yes, Kangaroo is 18 yrs old this year! (I know - we look very good on it, don't we?!) What better excuse for a competition? It's easy...I'm going to ask you one simple question. All you have to do is pop your answer in the comments underneath. The person with the closest answer to the actual answer will win a free, one day, bouncy castle hire to the value of £100. (travel costs will still apply if not local). The competion closes at 6pm on 31st July... and the winner will then be announced. Feel free to tag friends and share the post but you can only have one guess each. So...here is the question...followed by three clues to help you on your way!

Also includes soft play) Clue 1: In our first full year of trading, we completed 122 hires. Clue 2: We are a local, family run business. Clue 3: At the height of our busy years, we owned 15 bouncy castles - we own a few less now.

Weather notice:
Temperatures today are unusually hot!
... We want you to enjoy your inflatable as much as possible
Performing a few checks and making a few changes will make this possible:
Check the temperature of your vinyl –
With the temperatures that are due, bouncy castle vinyl can get very hot when in direct sunlight. We will do our best to site the inflatable where it is least affected, however, please test the temperature of the vinyl regularly. Place your palm on the vinyl and press and hold. If this is uncomfortably hot or even painful, it will be even worse for young, soft soles of feet!
Safety matting is also at risk of being excessively hot. Flip your mats regularly, putting the hot side against the ground.
You can place cool, damp towels on any hot spots on the vinyl but do not allow users on a wet inflatable.
Users can use socks to protect their feet.
Ensure that all users of the inflatables are encouraged to drink fluids regularly. Bouncing is hard work at the best of times but add in this heat and dehydration is a real possibility. Plenty of fluids and regular breaks will guard against this.

Following a number of calls asking about the tragic incident that occurred in Norfolk yesterday, I felt I should put up a post. A young girl lost her life yesterday on a beach trampoline with an inflatable enclosure. First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family at this time. It is right and proper that there is a full investigation and that no conclusions should be drawn before the facts are established. However, the media have decided to report that a bouncy... castle exploded. Bouncy castles do not explode! This unit was not a bouncy castle but was a sealed air trampoline enclosure. (Sealed air is when something is inflated once and sealed closed - like an air bed) Commercial bouncy castles are not sealed and have a constant air flow through the seams. This is very different. In due course, we will discover the facts of this tragedy but in the meantime, please be assured that we provide well-maintained, independently tested equipment which complies with UK industry standard. The weather really let us down and after talking to Nicky and managing to get a hall last min like 4 hours before my sons birthday party the hall was filled with inflatable items not what we had planned but boy both Nicky and john went above and beyond to make sure my little boy had a cracking party and a massive smile on his and his friends faces. We can't thank you enough and will definitely be using you again and recommending you to all. Thank you again x

Wonderful fun in the ice palace at my sons first birthday we had ages from 1-11 and all had a fab time thanks again for a lovely experience. as always dropped off and picked up on the dot with a smile.

We used Kangeroo last year and they were our first choice again this year but unfortunately the bouncy castle we wanted was already booked. So we reluctantly booked with another company. Only for them to have forgotten about our booking and couldn't deliver! With 2 hours to go til my sons party, I called Nicky to see if she had anything available and I would have taken anything!

She helped so much and even though they were busy with other bookings, she was more than happy to help!

Only once did I panic, that we hadn't 'booked' by the spring term, they just laughed and said, 'Yeah, we knew, so we booked your usual for the last Tuesday of the summer term anyway' (phew!!) That's not just 'good service', that's 'family'! I can't rate them highly enough.
