Good Morning, it's been a busy few weeks with 2 cakes this weekend.
One birthday girl wanted Tempest Shadow from the My Little Pony film for her special day. Lovely vanilla sponge covered in fondant with bright pink curls and a broken horn. She's the baddie from the film, you can see that in her eyes!!!
The other birthday girl wanted a cake based on The Descendants. It's all about the kids of the Disney baddies and her favourite is Mal. The apple is made of fondant with wa...fer cake toppers and I sourced the pendant for a keepsake.

Good Evening and what a MARVELlous cake I had to make this weekend.
The birthday boy is a big fan of Batman, Captain America, Iron Man and all the other Superheroes!!
The bottom tier was vanilla and the top was chocolate and it was filled and covered in buttercream.
... I got some cool cutters for the Batman and Superman logo, made Gotham City to go round the sides and used some of the birthday boys toys to finish it off. Captain America on the top was all fondant too.
Luckily the birthday boy was my lovely nephew Thomas so I got to eat the cake this time and it was absolutely delicious if I do say so myself! X

Evening all, it's been a while. I had a nice break at Christmas and then straight back into it for a New Years Eve Birthday that required a flowery, purple inspired cake for the birthday girl.
This weekend was spent making cupcakes for a baby shower. Pink and cute was the theme and I had a lovely time making them. X

Evening, another busy weekend making an 80th birthday cake for a quiz loving lady.
Her daughter asked for a fondant version of her mum watching TV and told me what a fan of Countdown, Tipping Point and The Chase she was.
All decorations handmade, with a delicious vanilla sponge filled with lashings of jam and buttercream.

Evening, it was a Blaze and the Monster Machine weekend for me!
The birthday boy wanted a carrot cake and this one was filled with a cream cheese icing and covered with buttercream. I then had to do a bit of research to find out all about Blaze.
It was fun to decorate with all the flames and I'm sure Harry enjoyed playing with his new toy after eating all the cake! X

Evening, these firework cupcakes certainly made bonfire weekend go off with a BANG! X

This cute Charlie Brown cake was a big hit with the birthday boy. Chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream and then hand decorated with Charlie Brown and his good friend Snoopy! X

Just had a lovely review of my recent cake, a nerf gun design that was good fun to make. Orange is my new favourite colour!
Delicious sponge with jam and buttercream covered with handmade targets, bullets and the famous logo. There were a couple of foam bullets included and I'm sure Reuben enjoyed playing with the gun afterwards, hopefully not doing target practice at the cake! X

Good afternoon, just had a lovely weekend in Florence followed by a fab weekend in London! In between all the packing and travelling I found time to make a cute unicorn cake for the lovely Lottie. All handmade decorations, including Mr Unicorn, with plenty of butterflies, stars and flowers. There was also a fair amount of pink glitter involved! The cake was vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream. X

Good Morning! It was the lovely Carol's birthday last week and she had a party on Saturday. Carol has been a gym bunny for years and this cake suited her down to the ground! The resemblance was amazing!! X x

Evening, it's been a busy week baking again! An epic My Little Pony creation for my lovely niece and a flamingo theme for a 4th birthday party.
My Little Pony needed two cakes so they could be connected by a rainbow with lots of fluffy clouds for the ponies to play on. Inside was a little surprise - the cake was pink and green! Great fun to make and it was very popular with the birthday girl!
The flamingo theme was also great fun to make, I want one for my birthday!! Vanilla... sponge, filled with jam and buttercream and decorated with six flamingos. All handmade with sugarpaste and lots of internet searches for images of flamingos, their feet and their beaks!
You can never have too many cakes, rainbows or flamingos! X

Morning all, another busy weekend making a wedding cake for a lovely couple. They wanted a navy and white theme with a variety of cupcakes and one giant cupcake. The giant cupcake was coffee and walnut (the bride's favourite) with coffee buttercream and a case made of chocolate fingers. The small cupcakes were a mix of vanilla, chocolate and carrot. X

Good morning, I was asked to make some shabby chic themed cupcakes for an 18th birthday party this weekend for a chocolate fiend! These cupcakes were a rich dark chocolate with a mixture of chocolate buttercream and chocolate fudge icing, delicious!!! X

Evening, it was my lovely friend Vic's birthday recently and I made her a selection of cupcakes and a small madeira cake filled with butter icing and jam. There were a few themes, Friends, Beach Huts, Ice Skating, Muse and Sainsbury's! I also found a great website that do photo cake toppers, they were fab for all our dodgy photos from 20 years ago!! X

Hello, it was a troll themed weekend for me! Princess Poppy was the main event with plenty of rainbows, toadstools and bright flowers. Vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream, all edible decorations except for Branch and Guy Diamond! X

Evening, another birthday this weekend and a cake was required for the birthday boy. A delicious fruit cake covered in marzipan, icing and edible stars, can you guess how old he was? 😉 x

Morning all, another glorious day!! Last weekend was my nieces first birthday party and I made the cake for her special day. Chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in vanilla buttercream all topped off with a cute elephant, bunting and a balloon. X

My 3rd cake of the week was a yummy madeira cake filled with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream. Simple but beautiful, I think orange might be my new favourite colour!!

The cake Katie made for my Son was lovely just what I wanted. The cake itself tasted really yummy and the way it was decorated was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and will be using again soon
