Layla Mai Designs Description
Welcome to Layla Mai Designs. My name is Lucy and I design and create hand stamped, personalised jewellery. Most of the blanks I use to stamp on are stainless steel, which are not only great because they are hypo allergenic and tarnish resistant, but they are also super shiny and a great, more cost friendly alternative to sterling silver. Stainless steel is also a very strong, durable and long lasting metal for jewellery. I occasionally will use other metals but each piece is clearly described in the listing. The designs on my page are just examples of what can be made; the beauty of hand stamping is that I can incorporate any message or personalisation to your piece (dependant on length. )

Stamping:
Stamping involves taking a hammer and metal stamps (letters, numbers, design stamps) and striking onto metal blanks leaving an imprint and thus creating personalised pieces! The beauty of stamped jewellery is that each piece is truly unique to you and doesn’t look like something that was mass produced; therefore your jewellery will always stand out in a crowd. All orders will be carefully hand-made, I am a complete perfectionist so I can guarantee that I will put 100% time and effort into creating your perfect piece.
Designs:
The designs on my page are solely examples of what can be done and should be seen as a guideline. If you are interested in having a piece of jewellery made I would initially ask you to think about what you would like stamped on the piece; would you like an inspirational /motivational quote, something more light-hearted /funny, something to represent the personality or a hobby of the one being stamped for, or, the most popular stamping requests are for loved ones names and dates of birth, which make for amazing keepsake gifts. The metal blanks I use can be hung, tiered, layered, domed etc in many ways so please, if you have something in mind, don’t hesitate to ask! If you feel like you would like a piece of jewellery made but are really not sure about what to have stamped, then please also get in contact and I will be more than happy to talk you through some suggestions! After all, the piece has to be right for the gift giver and the recipient, so discussions about the design are important.
How to order /Postage & Packaging:
The ordering process is very easy! PM me and we can go from there. Due to the nature of personalisation, orders are required to be paid for prior to any production taking place. Currently, payments can be made via PayPal (Note: you can pay via PayPal using a credit /debit card even if you do not have a PayPal account), bank transfer or I can accept cheques but these must be cleared prior to making your order. If you live locally to me you can also pop by and collect your order and pay cash on collection. All orders will be carefully wrapped in soft tissue paper and placed in an organza bag. Postage and packaging is £2 and your order will be sent via Royal Mail 1st Class service. For international delivery, please contact me and I will find out the specific rate for your country. I aim to have your order with you between 7-10 working days, however if you do have an urgent requirement please contact me and i will try to accommodate this.
Refunds:
Unfortunately I am unable to offer any refunds on jewellery once they have been personalised unless of course the stamping is wrong due to fault of my own, so please double check your spellings /dates before finalising your order with me.
Caring for your jewellery:
Stainless steel /aluminium jewellery will not tarnish or rust, however it is still advisable to take your jewellery off whilst washing, showering and sleeping to keep it looking its best. To remove everyday fingerprints from your piece, a soft microfiber cloth can be used to polish it back up again. Store safely in a jewellery box.

Just love layering the discs to create such an eye catching piece of jewellery! The three layers really does reflect the light and just looks fab! Can also be made with two discs. With a lovely little sterling silver heart to finish it off, i love these!
