Lazonby is within easy reach of the northern Lake District and is 3. 5 miles from the C2C.
The campsite is run by Lazonby Outdoor Swimming Pool committee and proceeds help to keep this community run venture open.
The campsite is open April to end of September. The nearby pool is open daily from May to early September - see www. lazonbypool. co. uk for details
Lazonby has a Co-op, with newspapers, post office and a cash point.

Hello All. Well the camping season is fast approaching. Lazonby campsite opens for 2018 on Thursday 29th March and I believe the Easter weekend is fully booked along with most bank holidays this year. Head over to www.pitchup.com to check what is still available this year.

We are not in a forest but we have the same problem. Therefore this is a great place to reconnect with your kids!

just returned from a 6 night stay absolutely fantastic scenery beautiful river side location fantastic local community because of weather had a few issues with ground being sodden but local community came to the rescue with no problems at all will defo be back kids loved it beautiful place great park on site you would hard pushed to find better a better scenic and friendlyplace fantastic facilities great local shop sells every thing within easy reach of carlisle and penrith.if you love scenery and open space this is a must on your list. cant wait to go back.

Just stayed here Monday till Friday brilliant and friendly very clean and tidy swimming pool walks fishing and definetly would recommend this site to everyone and we will be returning for a holiday next year 5*****
Just spent three nights here with 8 other families. We hit d the whole site and loved it! Kids and adults alike had a great time. Facilities good and clean park fab for kids and adults alike and the pool was enjoyed by all. Amazing and can’t wait to book up for 2019 xxx
Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Lazonby camp site. We hired 9 pitches as a group and both adults & kids have loved it. The park is great and the swimming pool is an added bonus. Beautiful walks down by the river. Will definitely be returning.
Just had a fantastic stay at this campsite with a group of friends. Lovely surroundings with the river and fields and nearby village. We never saw the kids for 2 days as they were so busy playing in the park, swimming pool and river, I had forgotten their outdoor games but it wasn't a problem there was so much for them to do.
It's a lovely location, beside the picturesque River Eden. Great cycling country, good walks nearby, and a HEATED open air pool on your doorstep. What's not to like?!
I love this little site. It's great for my young children with the park and the outdoor pool. in a lovely quiet location.
Hired the full site for our group of families. Excellent site.
Grass is in fab condition so no squelshing when it rained. Park right next door to the camping area and pool. The toilets and showers are looked after and clean. Lovely staff. Will definitely be returning.
Highly recommend Lazonby Camp Site lovely small site friendly staff people were lovely we left a day early sadly due to the weather but will definitely be returning with my family it was perfect for us lots for the kids to do fishing for my partner swimming pool fantastic thank you
Fantastic little site, set along river eden, very beautiful. Site next to lazonby swimming pool and a play park, kids enjoyed both. Basic site with ehu. Little shop available in village for all you need. Can't wait to return �

Excellent little site right next to the river. Brilliant for walking dogs along the side of the river watching the wildlife including Sand Martins.
Nice little outdoor swimming pool with really friendly volunteers. Great deal on Sunday with the swim and breakfast club.
Camped here summer 2015 and coming back for a weekend in June. Fantastic little site and the kids loved it, well worth the money! Also income from campsite goes towards running the pool for the community. The staff are volunteers, very helpful, friendly and an asset to the community!
Brilliant site, lovely & small. Perfect for families, playground & swimming pool are great. Lovely little walk by the river. Perfect base for the lakes. A real gem of a site!

Great outdoor swimming pool. Clean and tidy. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Showers & water in bathrooms & washing pots area is hot which is great!
Great Cooperative shop in village. Very well stocked.
Lovely site. Small but has outdoor pool, play park, toilet block with showers. It's a bit of a walk to the toilet especially at 3am. A torch is a necessity! It's a 20 min drive to Penrith and the lakes are within easy reach. We would go again.
Lovely little site with outdoor pool and play area. Staff were friendly. A small negative was the showers got a little busy. Local co-op and pub in village and about a 15 min drive into Penrith. Ideally situated to visit all the surrounding areas.. My son loved it as all the kids congregated in the play area so he made loads of friends and we didn't see him till it got dark
Great location, nice walks along the river. No lighting up to the toilets which wasn't great after dark and there was a restriction on use of the showers and toilets in the morning as the local school was having swimming lessons so the changing rooms / showers were in use for the kids.
