How do you relax and recover?
One half of a Christmas spa day was the perfect way to unwind today. A wonderful massage and some warmth in the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room is perfect preparation for the weeks ahead.
When busy it is easy to overlook the need to prioritise time for self care and particularly letting the body fully recover. It can't always be a day like this but even taking time for a bath can do the job ๐

I've had a great day today, doing things I always do and doing things I don't do enough.
I can't recommend enough chatting to people about things that get you excited, it's powerful, it makes you feel good and you can meet new people who think like you do!
... Tip: If you have goals, share them with your friends and family, spend your time with those who will help facilitate it working and avoid those who are less encouraging, it can make a huge difference at those difficult times when you are struggling. Build the support network that you need to be where you want to be. ๐

How is your week going so far?
Are you struggling to get back into a routine after the summer? If you are, try not to get overwhelmed. At the end of the day or week think of the things that went well/as you'd hoped, the positives. Then think of the things that didn't go as you'd hoped, think about why and these should be the one or two habits to focus on.
... After a discussion with one of my clients, we figured out that the one thing to focus on this week is water. After a change in routine where water consumption was easy, it is now more of a challenge, we have come up with some ideas to tackle it and that is the habit goal for this week.
Break it down, keep it simple and don't worry if you can't do it all at once. Building habits for life takes time and consistency is the key ๐๏ธ

For many, I find September is a month when people feel ready for change. If this is you why not start by choosing one daily habit to focus on. It may be increasing sleep, drinking more water, drinking less of something, eating more vegetables, walking more, exercising daily... Choose one thing, it may seem tiny but those tiny choices can add up to something big by the end of the month.

Starting Saturday 7th September for 8 weeks. Every Saturday 08:00-08:45 at Wash Common Scout Hut.
The course works on improving your fitness, strength and flexibility. With two, eight week blocks until Christmas there is plenty of time to make a real difference and maximise the last few months of the year! Get stronger, feel better and have fun with like minded people. All levels welcome.

It's fun when you get to train someone for a mammoth challenge like rowing 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. Last push for 116 days more, before the race begins ๐ช As you can see, @kevin_gaskell has been putting the hard work in to prepare for this challenge, I can't wait to follow the journey
