We’ve just had a wonderful week at Lodge Nine. Worked hard to create nice space at the front for elves and fairies.

User

The Gnomes, Elves and Fairies have been busy again.
The final little people have moved in, whilst little builders were adding a porch and planting in heathers and miniature conifers.

User

What a wonderful day for a horse ride.
Why not book a horse or pony ride around Finlake whilst staying at Lodge Nine - Finlake
Best to call Finlake Riding School 01626 852096 before arriving to secure your place.

Today we had a special visitor to the lodge. Gandalf came to see how the resettlement of the Elf’s, Gnomes and Fairies went. However he left staff behind! Silly Gandalf.

A couple of new additions to Lodge Nine - Finlake

Wonderful evening - sat on the decking of Lodge Nine - Finlake. Sun is quietly setting - it’s so peaceful and quiet.

User

The Gnomes, Fairies, Elves and Trolls have worked very hard today on their relocation from the Finlake Great Wood, to Lodge Nine - Finlake. Even the Talking Tree has taken root. The final gnomes are due to move in tomorrow, and they are brining some plants too.

User

Some of the new residents have started to move in during the day. As the work continues.

User

Today, under the watchful eye of Simon, the Gnome Supervisor the gnomes have been very busy working on the building a new settlement for fairies...
We were lucky enough to see Alfreda who is one of the fairies assessing the work. She said was very exited to be moving in to such a lovely peaceful area, and meeting all the good boys and girls who will be coming to stay at Lodge Nine - Finlake.

User

We arrived at here Lodge Nine - Finlake to be met by Simon, the Gnome supervisor, hired by the King and Queen of Far Far Away to supervise the resettlement of the Fairies and Elves. So far I can see that some wooden sleepers have magically arrived, however Simon assured me that there will be more developments tomorrow. 🧚‍♀️

If you have already visited us at Lodge Nine – Finlake, you may know, there was a great battle in the woods of Finlake between the Elf, Fairies and a Big Nasty Troll.
Following the great reviews and feedback we have received from the guests staying at Lodge Nine – Finlake, it appears that we have been contacted by the King and Queen of Finlake woodland to ask for planning permission for the local fairies, elves and gnomes to set up their residence by Lodge Nine.
Next week the... work is starting on their relocation to the area around Lodge Nine – Finlake.
What this space….

Wow.. We're to start... Lodge nine as been a fabulous experience

It's warm, cosy and very welcoming. The owners have been very helpful with welcoming messages and info on the property and surrounding areas. They've been on the other end of the phone/website/messager and have been quick to respond.

Like I've said the lodge is very warm and welcoming with that home from home feel

With a cosy living area with sofa cushions CD/ TV/dvd player & wii along with a full range of dvd, wii games and board games for that rainy day.. with a fully stocked kitchen with all utensils to make your cooking experience easier with big fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher so u can take care of your needs.. This is an ideal getaway for family's, couples or a friendly getaway it has it has two wash rooms, two single rooms and one double room

The ground floors as shower room with toilet and sink with one single room living and kitchen area... Up stairs as a bath, toilet and sink. One single room and one double room..

The lodge also has a back patio area that holds seating and hottub..

We've had a fantastic time and have already booked for April...

Where do I start? Upon arrival we were blown away with the sheer size of the lodge. It’s huge. The furnishings were luxurious and of good quality. The place was spotless and warm. Everything is where you need it to be. The bed was well-made and most probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It has everything you could ask for and more, from the dishwasher and cooking facilities in the kitchen to the hot tub on the decking.

Would we go here again.... absolutely. It purely was a holiday that dreams are made of.

What to say about Lodge Nine! It is exceptional. Fantastic from start to finish. We enjoyed a week of fun and relaxation (as much as you can with 2year old and a baby) at the beginning of July. There is plenty of things to keep everyone occupied, a massive collection of DVD’S and games and even a Fairy Garden on the doorstep. Our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed searching for fairies, trolls and gnomes, this kept her busy most of the time, the rest of it was spent in the hot tub pretending to be a mermaid. She was entertained from the go. Once the kids were in bed the adult enjoyed the hot tub also.

The woodland setting is beautiful. Every morning we were greeted by squirrels and birds who enjoyed breakfast with us.

The kitchen is really well equipped, everything you need and more. The bedrooms are big, plenty of space for all of our things and enough room for the travel cot (provided by Lodge Nine) at the bottom of the bed. There is a bathroom downstairs with a big shower and a bathroom upstairs with a bath. Locally there is tons to do, farms, zoos, beaches etc. There is also a vast amount of information, leaflets and takeaway menus provided, so no searching online. Shame we forgot to sign the guest book.

The communication by the owners reflects the property, PERFECT. There is nothing negative to say about this holiday. We all enjoyed it so much and have made many treasured memories.

Thank you for having us

We stayed at this beautiful lodge a couple of weeks ago. Was very idyllic, very comfortable inside as well as clean and modern. Beautiful views from the balcony and in the hot tub. Highly recommend, we will return.

User

We stayed at lodge nine last week and had a great time, lovely lodge well kept with everything you could need, Tesco deliver to the lodge so no need to worry about taking food with you. Finlake Park is great with a new pool and splash park etc adding more bits so looks like next year could be even better. The owners are great and answer any questions you have very quickly. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend 👍

User

We have just returned from a stay at Lodge Nine and were all very sad to be leaving. The lodge has everything you could possibly ask for from a cocktail shaker to a garlic crush! Very comfortable stay and the hot tub was a big hit with the children. The lodge is perfectly located on the park being a 2 minute walk to the pool or reception (great for little legs). Jason couldn't have been more helpful both in the run-up to our stay and while we were away, answering messages very quickly. We had a wi-fi issue due to the storms and although we were without wi-fi for quite a while, Jason did everything possible to help us rectify the problem. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lodge both for couples and young families. We will be back!

User

We have just returned from a fabulous 4 night break at lodge nine. The lodge is extremely well equipped and lovely and clean. My 16 and 14 year olds loved the tree tops adventure and as a family we enjoyed nothing more after a day out in the surrounding areas, than a relaxed evening in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend.

User

We had a great weekend at lodge nine last weekend. We had a relaxing time, it was just what we needed. We chilled out, watched movies, played Xbox and dipped in the hot tub, we never made it to the high ropes, swimming pool with slides or the pub/restaurant it was a great stay thank you so much xxxx

User

Stayed here at the beginning April for a much needed getaway with my young family of 4. Lodge Nine did not fail to deliver.

We have been to a fair few lodges in the past as a family, but none have been quite this luxurious. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. There was also an Xbox for the kids with plenty of games, and of course the hot tub which was wonderful.

We spent 3 lovely evenings chatting, eating and spending time in the hot tub while the kids were adequately entertained with the Xbox.

It really was the most perfect getaway. I'm missing it already, we will be back for sure but for longer next time. I can't recommend Lodge Nine highly enough!

User

Our family and friends recently stayed at Lodge 9. The location was perfect. Fully equipped from a fabulous balcony jaccouzi, dishwasher, washing machine and a man drawer for every emergency. Very clean and always warm. Child friendly from stair gates, DVD’s, games and even an X Box. Well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 double bedroom and 2 twin rooms. A cosy lodge which felt like home the moment we walked in. We all had such a relaxing and chilled out break. We will definitely return.

User

My husband and I recently stayed at Lodge 9 with our 6 month old puppy coming along too. Finlake is beautiful, situated in the countryside meaning our lodge had stunning views. We didn’t have to go far from the lodge to see some great photo opportunities.

The lodge itself was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay including the well awaited hot tub which was on the private decking. Bliss! There were many other creature comforts as well, including a coffee machine, DVDs, board games and consoles.

The lodge grounds were ample size for our puppy, although we spent the days walking around anyway so by the evening he was too tired to run around. Overall, one of the best lodges we have visited and as it was our first holiday with our new pup, it was a very relaxing and stress free break! We will definitely be back and have already recommended Lodge Nine to a couple of our friends.

Lodge 9 . Where to start .We Booked before Christmas for a family break for jan just after the hustle and bustle to unwind and to have some well needed quality family time. Owners from the start were so welcoming and made this experience of booking if first time an easy and welcoming experience. If we had any questions or a query. It was no problem. On arrival it was like expected and a little more. Beautiful lay out. Had everything and extra to make life easy. as obviously we was on holiday but also felt from home to home. So cosy and relaxing! we have two children and I have to mention there is unlimeted options to keep them entertained and a little extra! Much thought for family’s with children of all age. so u can sit back and enjoy your surroundings. Just what we needed. I definitely recommend and will be booking again. Worth every penny also the site offers lots of activities and leasure. Surrounding areas to visit. Thankyou to the owners for a wonderful experience.. summer visit on the cards so can enjoy all that has to offer :-)

Just spent a long weekend here and had such an amazing time, the lodge was really clean and homely with all the amenities you could need and more. The hot tub was all fired up and ready to go set on a balcony with a stunning view. The site itself was lovely, both indoor and outdoor pools were really warm with great slides and plenty for the little ones. Staff were very friendly and helpful and surrounding area was so pretty. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer. I would recommend this to all it really is a gem of a place.

User

Just returned from the most incredible break at lodge 9. We have 2 young boys and they had the most enjoyable time, didn’t want to leave in fact. I can’t say enough what a lovely place it is and we cannot wait to return. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge

User

Just got back from an amazing weekend at Lodge 9. We loved it!!.

don’t know anywhere else that you can sit and relax In a hot tub while watching squirrels (we named ours Dave!) on the decking of your lodge and in the beautiful trees surrounding it.

User

I visited here for 5 nights with my other half. We were both very impressed with the Lodge. It was very well put together with everything you would need. It is amazing how well thought out everything was – we wanted for nothing throughout the entire duration of our stay. The price for the 5 nights was very reasonable as well

We enjoyed the private hot tub and spent a couple of hours outside every evening after a long day exploring Finlake and the beautiful Devonshire countryside. We also purchased a day pass from the health club so got use of the outside pool as well as Finlake Falls.

It was such a relaxing break. We will definitely be back here for a visit.

Many thanks, Dan

I had fantastic weekend in Lodge 9! Place is located in a beautiful and very well kept surroundings. Lodge felt like a home away from home, spotless clean, warm and in a perfect condition. It has everything anyone might need including very well equipped kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher as well as lovely living room with a huge selection of movies, games and Xbox console. And let’s not forget about the hot tub! It was just perfect to relax in the evening. It was very clean and so comfy that it was difficult not to fall asleep in it. The resort is outstanding and offers many activities such as Horse riding, very well equipped leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool and play area for the kids as well as picturesque surroundings ideal for a nice walk. I would recommend lodge 9 to anyone as it’s a perfect place for a long and relaxing weekend away. Owners are lovely and extremely helpful people who go above and beyond to ensure that their guests can have a comfortable and relaxing stay. They are very quick to respond and stayed in contact to ensure that we had a good stay and had everything we needed.

User

Having never purchased a get away via facebook before I was a bit nervous but it was made very easy and the lodge itself was fantastic. Had great views and extremely clean. Went with my two children and they loved it just as much as me. Really does have everything you need there. Would definitely recommend a stay there. Thank you very much for a great break away.

User

Absolutely fell in love with the place.

I celebrated my birthday here with family visiting too. It was a perfect getaway. The highlight for me being the hot tub.

Our teenagers enjoyed the films and Xbox games.

The accommodation was perfect, well equipped and in lovely condition.

The owner couldn't have been any more welcoming.

I would have no hesitation recommending this lovely lodge 9 to anyone.
