There is some confusion mixed with speculation around the length of the season and the 2019 park fees. The season will be extended next year and it is proposed that the park fees will increase by £300 for the 2019 season. The current season is to be extended to include Christmas and new year, the exact closing date has not yet been decided. We will let you know as soon as the directors have decided on all matters rather than drip feeding, however this will be very shortly and... everyone will be informed. In the meantime please bear with us and if you have any queries please call into the office where we will be able to answer any questions the best we can or I can be reached via email alan@lowther-holidaypark.co.uk

Power now back on. Sorry for the inconvenience. Electricity north west found the problem on a buried cable outside of the park. Now all fixed.

User

Power outage, I have attached the latest text from electricity north west. Update from our local team, they have found the problem and are fixing it now and said your power will be back on by 11:30 PM.

User

Update on power outage. Electricity north west on site. The problem seems to be with there underground cable coming to the site. I will make further posts when I know anything further.

User

Unfortunately the electricity board have an underground cable fault between the overhead cables and the park. The Electric will not be back on this evening however we hope that this will be sorted tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience but this is out of our control.

Only down side is the pitches are a bit tight to get on if you don’t have a motor mover

I love this site this time we are staying in one of there pods , it is a bit of a trek to the loos but other than that I can’t fault it there is plenty of room for 2 beds and chairs and our bags of stuff . The shop looks great now and sells a good selection of products . We will definitely be back next year

I have just spent 11 nights on this site with my touring caravan.

I have stayed at many sites throughout England and most of Europe and this campsite stands out as one of the best and the people are so friendly.

The facilities were excellent for the caravan, easy accessible toilets, water and disposal.

The toilet block was super clean every day, even my lass used them who is extremely fussy, the showers were big and hot with great pressure.

We never had a problem with noise overnight even over the weekend, great sleeps.

There is even a well stocked shop.

Thanks very much for making my holiday so pleasant, top star campsite.

I have had a static here for 20 years now and this place is not perfect, but it isn't far away. There are a few people who have static caravans or lodges who are a bit territorial and lack the ability to live in harmony with their neighbours.

There are people who arrive in tourers or tents who are the same. These people are very much in the minority and I just avoid them. We have had our children here and now have our grandchildren who have been coming, incidentally, since they were weeks old and adore this place. They can play safely outside and enjoy being so near to nature.

Finally, I have a dog and she loves this place too. What is not to like? Yes there are the occasional parties and a bit of noise but this is very rare.

Try looking up to the sky on a clear night here, there is virtually no light pollution and you can see a billion stars. Love this place.

Great site, great location, close to town, fab facilities, really clean, helpful & friendly staff, lovely pub, great shop. Would definitely come again, in fact, we're here again next weekend! We will hopefully be booking to come with friends in the summer hols next year too.

We were here for Halloween and the site and all the vans etc were well done up, it looked fab. Everyone was friendly, the kids loved trick or treating around the site and there was even a show on too, plus a games room for the kids to chill in. Will be back for Halloween next year, without a doubt!

Only one issue, Disabled Shower - Before u get undressed, check the water is a good temp first!! There is no thermostat, so if it breaks, which it did, (it was boiling boiling hot and couldn't be turned down). I had to redress (not an easy task for me) and go elsewhere! Stress! In all my years caravanning, I have never come across a shower without a dial to turn it up or down! Apparently the reason there isn't one is to stop kids getting burnt! Hmmmm! I just got burnt instead!

*However, I used the disabled facilities again today and it was perfect - I just checked the water first this time!
