User

What a lovely place, the owners have only been there for a few months and have some great plans which will make this place outstanding. I enjoyed 2 days fishing and they will even bring you food and drinks to the bank side. We will be back.

User

Went today for the first time with my son Isaac who is 8.

Dave and the rest of the team couldn’t have been more helpful and made us feel very comfortable.

Dave let my son use one of his whip pole rods which was great and even took some time to show us how it was done!!

We will definitely being going back.

User

Went mid day Friday till Sunday morning, was stunning and the facilities are brilliant, hook in the thumb wasn't planned but apart from that and dodgy guts I had a decent weekend, thank u luccombes

User

We had a lovely day today at the lake, the owners are lovely, and very helpful and welcoming, we went as a group for our dads 65th birthday and had a great day, we hired rods and tackle, and the owner even supplied a BBQ for us so we could have some food, something you wouldn't get at other fisheries. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a great day and will return! Vicki and Tim

User

We had a fantastic day, my husband really enjoyed the fishing and it was so relaxing for me. Breakfast was lovely and I highly recommend it. Lots of helpful advice and everyone so friendly. We plan to make it a regular trip this summer.

User

The BEST fishery I have ever been to in my life, Dave the Owner is a fantastic guy and very inspirational! Very helpful and handy, he even came and gave us a 4 hour tutorial! It was incredible. Not to mention the on site tackle shop, good food and drinks and a very good atmosphere! All in one place. Didn’t end up moving for 4 days! Only planned one Saturday evening, so welcoming and a beautiful location. Would recommend to family and friends! Won’t get rid of me for a long time hehe

User

User

Spent a very hot day on Birch lake with Matt James catching silvers, we guesstimated 150lb between us, including bream to over 5lbs, roach to 1lb and a couple of tench and crusian carp. What a beautiful place Luccombe is with some great fishing, excellent facilities and a very warm welcome. I will definitely be booking a week next year to try all the lakes.

User

Perfect spot with five lakes stocking a good variety of fish. My personal favourite is oak lake that has a good stock of carp up to 18lb. The lakes are well stocked but not over stocked so you still have to work for your fish.

The site is well maintained and will flourish as the renovations grow in.

The owners are lovelly and offer advice and listen well to the same story of fish caught day in day out.

Well stocked shop and a cafe doing good breakfasts etc.

Brilliant has become my go to lakes.

User

One of the best fisheries around Exeter

Beginner/pro it all here for you !

User

Lovely fishing place, well stocked and large fish. really friendly staff everything you need is here

User

Just spent a week in our caravan at the lakes, made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, great site clean and well presented shower/toilets, only a small site which is lovely, right by the nursery ponds so you can see youngsters leaping about!

We took our 3 dogs and found about a mile away the canal was just perfect for a long walk, the turf hotel on the estuary was perfect for a relaxed lunch, as for fishing for a small pond complex it was excellent, smaller satellite ponds around the specimen pond make to good sport, loads of fish to hone your skills, I was very fortune to meet Owen and Terry a pair of gentleman who's company and advice made a huge difference to my holiday (thanks again chaps) all in all a great relaxed week,

User

Just come back from a lovely week weather was really good, highly recommended luccombes the fisherys where spot on the appearance the cleanliness and the wildlife. I highly recommend luccombes

Fantastic place to fish for the day or like me and my son we have also camped here for a few days last summer!

The new improvement to the site looks amazing with more dug out swims with each having there own nets and landing matts !!

The management and staff are really welcoming and helpfull !! Really looking forward to returning for a few days soon’n

User

Camped over Aug bank holiday weekend in our tourer. Pitches are very generous and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are good. Site is perfect for a peaceful get away with plenty of onsite fishing suitable for all abilities. Only downside is the lane to site is small for driving with a tourer but it is quiet with passing points and won't put us off returning

User

Lovely place and made very welcome. The accommodation was good and clean. For us the lakes were too small and had too many people on them for the size as it's also a day ticket venue and very busy. We only fished one day and two evenings as it was hard to get a swim. People are allowed to leave some of their gear in a swim all week and come and go when they wanted so you're unable to try different swims which we felt was unfair. We also had anglers casting over our lines and weren't bothered by it that it could get tangled if one of us caught a fish which isn't good for fish welfare. We also watched as someone chased a fish all over a swim till it dropped back in the water while the others with them thought it was hilarious!!!! Two guys were using bait boats and dropped 1-1/2kilo of bait at a time!!! Really not necessary on such a small lake and three fishermen close by ended up leaving. We weren't able to fish as much as we wanted and ended up spending a fortune on days out when we'd only planned on two trips out. The place is great if you fish light but it's not for serious carp fisherman.
