Over the next few days I will be contacting each person to arrange a time to meet for a friendly chat and discuss your wedding cake design! I also provide a complimentary delicious box of cake samples for you to enjoy :)

Naked and semi-naked wedding cakes are still a huge hit this year and 2019! I can decorate them in so many different ways and colours too.. fresh flowers, summer fruits, shortbread hearts and a variety of toppers too <3
A 3 tier semi naked wedding cake to serve 90-100 decent portions costs £325 (£3.25 per portion) so a great option if you are on a budget and don't fancy a iced creation. This price also includes local delivery, set up, multiple flavour tiers and a variety of f...resh fruit decoration. If you wish to have a floral design I am happy to add fresh flowers supplied by your florist at the venue.
What are your thoughts on naked/semi-naked wedding cakes? I personally adore a traditional iced wedding cake with handmade sugar flowers as this is my passion and art however the raw beauty of a semi naked cake I can't help but love either! They are always so striking when I finish decorating them :)

I have decided I need to invest in a new camera! My camera photographs my cakes so badly with a yellow undertone. I therefore tried my phone which isn't a fancy phone and the photo is blurred so you can't see any of the detail in the wood slices especially :(
I uploaded a little video of yesterdays woodland wedding cake but here is my attempt to photo of Sophie and Jono's beautiful wedding cake. The groom is a tree surgeon with his own woodland management company so 2 of the tiers were log slices which were carved and hand painted. I decorated with a variety of multicoloured handmade sugar flowers. Love Lucie x

Congratulations to Tina and Graham who got married at Les Bouviers last week 💛
Tina wanted a classic design featuring her biggest love of leopard print so added this amongst the bow, trims and edible butterflies.
What was such a surprize was Les Bouviers phoning to congratulate me on creating such a delicious wedding cake and how impressed the chef was! 😮 I am super happy, wedding cakes should taste as good as they look! 😊

💜💕Congratulations to Daytona and Mike who are such a lovely couple who got married at Hale Village Hall. They decorated the venue together with a bohemian theme and chose a semi naked wedding cake decorated with summer fruits and deep rich coloured flowers.💕💜
Their wedding day was so 'me' that it made me feel warm and happy inside especially since I am planning my own wedding.
Every wedding is unique yet this wedding is what a true wedding should be about in my opinion. The ...atmosphere was so happy, friends and family helping out together and excitement in the air for Daytona to arrive. It was just genuine!
Love doesn't need a grand luxury hotel, a posh sit down meal or staff dining guests... sometimes I feel people forget what a wedding should really be about.
My only sadness is that it rained all day :( I went away feeling sad that it could rain on such a lovely couples special day and just wanted the sun to shine. I hope you both still had a magical day and thank you both for being so kind <3 Love Lucie xx

Flavours are gluten and dairy free lemon and poppy seed with my homemade vegan lemon curd and lemon frosting and vegan cherry bakewell with morello cherry conserve ...and almond frosting.

Wow! What a week :O Its been my busiest week ever and I have so many wonderful wedding cakes to share with everyone. I will be honest I am incredibly tired, so behind on admin/enquiries but very proud of what I have achieved! :)
First wedding cake I wanted to share is Alex and Ellie's who got married at a slightly quirky, unique yet really elegant wedding venue Widbrook Grange <3 I really loved this venue!!
... Widbrook Grange is near Bath so a long way from me however the couple struggled finding a cake maker who could bake a wedding cake for all different dietary requirements <3
Ellie loved the chocolate drip cakes yet wanted something pretty rather then the sweetie over load cakes. I created a mixture of colourful handmade sugar flowers of roses, daisies, eucalyptus, David Austen rose and dahlia. I also baked some yummy vegan meringue kisses which are amongst the flowers <3

I am really in love with my 3 new organic bamboo silks which is an amazing vegan/eco conscious alternative to real silk and feels so luxurious!
This absolutely beautiful bamboo silk has been hand dyed by @little_acorn_silks who uses natural dyes from such a mixture of organic fruits and vegetables which are grown in her neighbours garden and hedgerows.
These include beetroot, red onion skins, raspberry, red berries, strawberries, blackcurrant, walnut shells, cherries and so on! These colours look so pretty next to my handmade sugar eucalyptus and I cannot wait to use them on upcoming wedding cakes 😍❤️

I feel a little upset and I hope this doesn't seem unprofessional but I wanted to share how I feel...

The world nowadays is so instant yet I don't have a administrator, a social media department or an accountant to send invoices. I am just one person and that's Lucie :)
... I will naturally take longer then a company to reply to messages and I also receive messages via email, my website, facebook, text, calls and instagram. Please don't think badly of me, I am human and simply trying my very best.
I was saddened when I received a message this morning and 3 hours later I received some ???? marks and then 1 hour after I received 'I have gone elsewhere'. I have only just read all 3 messages now as I have been focusing on creating a customers pretty wedding sugar flowers today...each made by hand.
My most important job is creating beautiful wedding cakes which each one takes on average 30-60 hours in total. I would much rather be absorbed making sure each cake is perfect for someone's special wedding day then replying to messages instantly and I am sure you would feel the same if I was working on your cake.
So please remember that we might live in a instant world but I am just like you. I only have one pair of hands and only 24 hours in the day <3 Love Lucie xx

Flavours of zesty lemon with my homemade vegan lemon curd and lemon frosting, chocolate orange with chocolate orange ganache and my new rainbow confetti cake with raspberry jam and vanilla bean frosting all covered in dairy free white chocolate ganache.
I really struggle...d to get a nice photo showing how colourful this cake was and managed to carry it to another wall yet the lighting still wasn't good 😥

With 3 weeks notice Lucie prepared a beautiful rustic wedding cake, taking note of everything we wanted/ didn't want. Lucie was happy to try new ideas, which resulted with the fir cone cake toppers! Being a family of cake connoisseurs the sponge was a critical point, and it most certainly did not disappoint! Lucie is a fantastic baker with a great eye for detail. Highly recommend! Thanks again Lucie!

We had a large order and she went above and beyond to make our cake dreams Come true with mushroom fairy house an amazing carrot cake and a 7 layered rainbow sponge and then cupcakes each prepared perfectly to fit with our fairy theme. With biscuit wands and a giant cupcake we were overwhelmed with the effort and love put into her work. I can honestly say not one bit of cake is left!!! Now planning starts for my little boys third party and he has already begged for a rainbow cake. Amazing communication, the finish quality is out of this world, beautiful flavours on both the cakes I ordered. Yes Lucy's cakes are not £15 like in Asda, but you pay for what you get!
