Waking up each day and receiving a lovely review really makes our day... Especially when it is 5*! <3
'The reception staff are lovely & we’ve seen two different vets & both were fantastic with our rather nervous kitten & were happy to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend this vet practice!'
Taking your time to write a review means a lot to the team as it tells us how we are doing. It also allows us to look at the areas we may need to grow/improve.

Don’t let the Lynwood flea get in the way of you and your pet this Valentines Day!
Nice try with the flowers and outfit choice but that won’t fool us! 😝💕🙈💐👎🏻
Fleas can be unpleasant for both you and your pet. We offer several trusted products for flea treatment. Speak to your vet for more information. ❤️

It has gone Italian Greyhound crazy at the Wimborne branch... Why have one, when you can have four?! 🐾
We have been spoilt this afternoon with a visit from Sunny, Florrie, Phoebe and Sophie. Here they are with their mummy and daddy.
Sunny and Florrie both received their boosters with Vet Duncan and thought they would bring the whole family along to say hello! 👋
... Aren't they adorable and all looking very cosy in their winter coats.

🐾🐶 Dogs can be opportunists when it comes to getting their paws on tasty treats, but not all everyday food and drink are safe for dogs.
Here are a few of the common food and drink dangers to dogs.
When In Doubt, Ask A Vet;... If your dog is acting strangely, or experiencing even minor symptoms including weakness, lack of coordination, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc. and you think they may have consumed something they shouldn’t have, seek a veterinarian’s attention immediately.

The Cinnamon Trust is a great charity. Do you live near Wareham and have time to help walk dogs?
‘Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity which seeks to relieve the anxieties, problems, and sometimes injustices, faced by elderly and terminally ill people and their pets, thereby saving a great deal of human sadness and animal suffering.’

Words cannot express how delighted and relieved I am to have been recommended to register my lovely 16 year old cat Tillie to see Duncan at Lynwood Vets in Wimborne.

Without going in to great detail Tillie and I had had a very bad experience and what I can only describe as a roller coaster ride at her previous vets which left Tillie and myself very stressed and upset. Tillie had recently been diagnosed with Kidney Disease and given a very bad prognosis of days or weeks to live. I was told she was a very difficult in patient to treat and to take her home and there was nothing more to be done for her. From my experience of Tillie and her recent behaviour at home I was reluctant to accept this prognosis.

Initially I spoke to Duncan on the phone late yesterday afternoon. He took time to listen to my concerns about Tillie, her diagnosis, her prognosis and previous treatment. Duncan has the most kind, understanding and informative manner and I instinctively knew we would now be in safe hands.

We saw Duncan this morning and my instincts were correct. In the past 16 years I have never seen Tillie so relaxed at the vets. Duncan was able to take her blood pressure, listen to her heart, look closely into her eyes to see her retina, look at her teeth, weigh her and give her a full examination with very little resistance. He explained her blood results and discussed fully our options for treatment now and in the future. Tillie despite having Kidney Disease may have many more happy months possibly years with us. I am confident I now have a vet that will guide us through the time we have with Tillie with great compassion, knowledge and experience. I know we will do the best for her.

From this experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lynwood Vets. I have also spoken to a couple of receptionists who were lovely, particularly Becky who was extremely kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Everything about the practice has given me confidence. I've not met other staff at Lynwood but Duncan is a Director and with him in charge I can only imagine that everyone else would be excellent too. Thank you most sincerely for your care.

Very good vets, have always been very good with our cats, all the staff are friendly and helpful.

User

The team at Lynwood are fantastic we have 4 cats but George broke his Leg in January! Lewis and the team at Wimborne were brilliant keeping us updated on how he was as he needed an op! George received brilliant care whilst he was at Lynwood and we were contacted to let us know how he was getting on, I got a follow up phone call when he came home to check how he was doing. We did need numerous trips back for check ups and nothing was too much trouble. Geroge is now back to full mouse catching health!! Thanks guys you really are fab.

User

Thank you very much to all at this vets for helping me with baileys dew claw today very much appreciated you were very helpful and kind that good we have now registered both of ours dogs with them

User

Thank you so much for taking in the injured Cormorant that we found late Saturday.

My dog has recently been very poorly with pancreatitis. Under the care of Ellen he was quickly diagnosed and appropriate treatment was put in place. It was a very traumatic time for my boy and me as his owner but throughout this time Ellen showed complete care and nothing but kindness. It's abundantly clear how much respect Ellen has for animals and she includes you in all her decisions, making sure you are happy with any treatment she is proposing. While I use the Bournemouth branch, during this time my dog was referred to Wimborne for a scan and here we met Duncan, what a lovely man he is and again showed nothing but kindness. My thanks also go to Janine (Bournemouth branch) who was included in my dog's treatment. Not forgetting the kindness for the nursing staff and Vickie (receptionist.) All the team at Lynwood's primary concern is for your pet but the kindness is extended to the owners as they understand how important our animals are to us. Keep up the good work all and thank you.

User

Lynwood have been absolutely fantastic with my recent wildlife emergencies. Earlier this month I was asked to help with a baby rabbit who had been caught by a dog, I rushed it down to the Wimborne branch thinking it may not be good news but RVN Leanne checked her over and thought she might have a chance! She later let me know that they had sent her over to a wildlife rehab as she was doing so well!

Then, this morning I witnessed a van badly clip a woodpecker, so I stopped to pick it up as it was stunned in the road. Worried again that he may have hidden injuries I drove him to the Wimborne branch, who dutifully checked him over and proclaimed him very lucky having got away with just a scrape! He had a quick pain relieving injection to help him with the van induced headache and I released him in the woods near to where I picked him up. Thank you for being such a friend to wildlife Lynwood Vets!

User

It's really hard to find vets that are good with guinea pigs but I've been taking mine to the Bournemouth branch for about ten years and they have always been brilliant - whether it's just a claw clip or serious long term illness the vets and nurses take just as much time and care over the little guys as they do with large pets.

It's priceless knowing they're going to be in good hands when they need it most. I can't recommend them highly enough.

User

If it was not for Chris and Duncan's excellent care our Ollie the yellow Flatcoated Retriever would not be with us now. After a very serious medical emergency they (and all the nurses!) saved our precious boy and nearly a year (and ongoing medical care) he's still going strong! We will not be taking out boys anywhere else!

User

I've been with this veterinary practice for over 20 years. Fantastic customer care, brilliant vets and caring nurses. Never once have I felt rushed during an appointment.Thank you Lynwood for all your support over the years through good times and sad times :)

User

I used Lynwood in Wareham to get my very nervous dog spayed, they were very understanding, let me stay with her while she was sedated so she wouldn't panic. Much more helpful than other practices I've used.

User

I have been with Lynwood for over 20 years, firstly with my cat Kupka, and more latterly with my cats Peaches, Phoenix and Shadow. Louis and Duncan mostly look after our cats, and we are always greeted with warmth and empathy. The front of house ladies are always friendly and polite. Today we had to put our 2 year old Phoenix to sleep after fighting against the devastating disease FIP. Louis was genuinely compassionate in our loss and we are grateful for the professional friendship we always receive. Keep up the good work Lynwood

User

I can not thank the team at Lynwood enough for their help yesterday with my dog Milo. He was so poorly and they were fantastic even when I decided to feel faint and need a sit down the ladies were on hand with ice packs, water and a sugary biscuit. They looked after both of us so well. They really are a great team and I could not recommend them enough.

User

Had to go to the vets with my poorly cat...and the vets there were all so lovely and caring..thank u to.all of you who made my cat well again.xx

User

Had a sad visit here last night with our very sick pussycat. Unfortunately she had to go to cat heaven but the staff were so fantastic. If only a sick human could be seen, diagnosed and out of their pain within an hour. We are devastated today but your kindness and obvious love of animals made it the best it could be. Thank you so much x

User

Definitely recommend them. Our Border Collies have always felt safe and secure in their care. Arthur wags his tail with delight when we come round Bean's Corner. The thought of the biscuit far outweighs the injection.

User

Couldn’t recommend Lynwood high enough. I Moved from another vets after some issues with my very ill Lhasa. Duncan and Hannah were incredible and did their upmost for my little Oscar. The passion that everyone has in Lynwood’s for animals is heartwarming and fills me with confidence when taking my animals there. Xx

User

Big thankyou to the staff there,Roo our Labrador puppy was very poorly and today she is back to her usual self ,excellent people
