What a cracking place this is. Being a proud Bristolian it was great looking at the history of my fine city. The book made of skin was creepy to look at but I enjoyed reliving my trips to school by boarding the green bus. I sat upstairs at the back as I did when I was a kid. A wonderful place to visit and would recommend it to anyone.

User

Went with my grandchildren , they were not only entertained but also educated. What a place to visit and learn about the history of Bristol. The kids are having a history lesson and enjoying it. Best of all , it's totally free !

User

We visited yesterday... not our first visit... the skeletons exhibition was excellent - all of us (2 adults, 10 and 7 year olds) thought the exhibition was amazing. So many facts and the details about all of the skeletons then the bone lab was just on top and made it so so much more interesting! Well done an excellent exhibition.

User

We loved the variety of exhibits, there was so much to see and learn about Bristol!! I am a Bristolian and felt very nostalgic wandering through the museum! There was a big bus , an Anderson shelter and my daughter loved playing with the traffic lights !! It was a lovely day out and the Nutella brownies were a special treat in the Cafe! Well worth a visit.

User

We held my daughter's wedding reception at the M Shed on Saturday and I can't praise them enough. What an amazing team of people. Nothing was too much trouble, all of the food was fantastic and what a stunning view. Thank you so much to Beth, Hannah and all of the rest of the staff for all your hard work. As for the DJ - he was great and what an amazing singer he turned out to be! We also got to have a ride on the Steam Train which was fantastic- thanks to everyone who made sure it was fixed in time! A day we will never forget.

User

WOW What a Christmas party! I have been to the M Shed before with my family but this is the first time I have attended an event here. The event was fantastic and the staff could not do enough for you. The food was beautiful and I loved the entertainment (the dj even took my requests throughout the night). I'm hoping our company will bring us back next year!! 10/10

User

Visited for the first time yesterday with my 5yr old son. We spent 3 hours there and didn't spend any money, apart from a small donation and my son spending some pocket money in the gift shop. It was very informative, interactive and interesting. I don't understand the bad reviews. There are plenty of terrible places that cost a fortune. We will definitely be back with the rest of the family, hopefully when the train is running.

User

This year was our 4th year of visiting the Wildlife Photographic Exhibition. Yet again, the content and range of photographs on display was absolutely breathtaking. It never fails to astound us the lengths people go to create such amazing images and a snapshot of time. M Shed is a perfect location for this Exhibition and recommend it 100%. Can't wait until 2017. 5 STARS

User

I take my grandchildren to M Shed, they love it, there are things to touch and dress up in and play with. The cafe is very good too

User

Great place to look around kids will love it try it you’ll like it

User

Great free museum of the history of Bristol, really informative and well laid out, great for all ages. The temporary exhibitions are usually good too and not particularly expensive. There is a coffee shop but I've not used it so I can't comment on whether on not it's any good.

User

First of all is free! Good located, cheap car park behind. Is very friendly place for families, was my second time and I enjoyed! Always I discover smth new. My kids was fascinated! I really recommend this as MUST SEE in Bristol.

User

Excellent skeleton exhibition - fascinating to learn so much about the subjects who lived and died so long ago. Revisited the exhibits that were formerly in the Industrial museum - lots of new stuff and so much to enjoy looking at and interacting with. Thoroughly enjoyable bust with my 10 year old grandaughter. Lunch in the cafe was very good too.

User

Best coffee in Bristol. They are using Clifton Coffee roasts and the are excellent. Great view of the harbour and they serve food with a meat free Tuesday.

User

A lovely informative day out with some great exhibits and some good interactive stuff for the kids! Absolutely loved the bones exhibit, and my daughter loved putting on a lab coat and investigating the back room! A lovely location too and not far from other places of interest! 😁

User

Very eclectic museum; great that they host some Free/Donations exhibitions, making them accessible to more people. The Roman Skeletons & The Guild (one of the first purpose built buildings for people with disabilities) exhibitions were interesting. The Concorde engines & The Scooter Memorabilia are of particular fascination also.

User

Enjoyed a few hours on Friday afternoon with my two girls and a friend with her two girls. They enjoyed the bus, dressing up at the old school and shopkeepers in the old shop. Was nice to see the steam train go back and forward. The only criticism is the cafe is very pricey. Just for a cup cake it was £2.40 😵We only bought some tea & a few soft drinks and went elsewhere to eat, far too expensive.

User

I Love the MShed but as an avid 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' visitor I was disappointed in the exhibition as the layout was compact (room looked empty), the beautiful photographs were too small and looked more like paintings rather than photos! Please bring back the large, dramatic exhibitions of past such as those that were at the Museum and please reduce the entrance fees to allow those on low incomes to enjoy the exhibitions as well. On the plus side I had the place all to myself!

User

The Cafe is awful not supportive to young children asked for 3 different children's meals to be told they don't have them, whilst I love vegetarian food my child doesn't and this isn't advertised that they do no meat! Yet they sale Coke! Awful cafe would never go again!
