Such a lovely lovely place, and the ladies there are so genuine! Perfect for afternoon tea, or any occasion. A must visit for lunch while on Portland!

Stopped here last Friday morning. While the outside may have been exceptionally miserable (heavy rain and wind) the welcoming we received upon our arrival was warm and friendly.



The service was exceptional (something you don't always find these days, and you certainly wouldn't get from one of the "big brand" coffee houses where you're lucky if the staff even bother to acknowledge you are there.



The coffee in Mary's was hot and tasty, and the cake... oh my.. the cake. The biggest slice I've ever had was delicious. I had chocolate, my Mum who was with me had coffee and walnut; both of us declaring our respective slices to be moist, tasty and definitely worth going back for when we visit next.

My first visit here yesterday as part of a hen party I organised. The staff were very accommodating, letting us have the back part of the tea rooms for our group. They let us decorate the room to fit our theme and refilled the teapots during our 4 hour visit. The food was delicious and there was plenty to go around. Great value for money! Huge thanks to Becky for looking after us! Would highly recommend and am already planning my next visit!
