Every #TrocksUK performance frivolously froths with tutus and testosterone, blush-pink ballet pumps, fierce false eyelashes and prima ballerina attitude however, what makes this company extraordinarily special is their immaculate technique, daring physicality, surpassed only by their impeccable comic timing.

This theatre is a really beautiful venue. It's really well managed with great staff. I have only seen two shows here - The Addams Family musical and Hairspray - and cannot fault the production, the staging,, the lighting, the sound or the view. I'm impressed that even with the cheapest ticket you can't get any restricted viewing anywhere in the venue.

I've just seen Hairspray here and everything was perfect. I've seen that musical 12 times now in a space of ten years and the majority of times its been in a London venue. The Mayflower doesn't need the poshness of the West End to make their shows great. The Mayflower is perfect for everything and really helped Hairspray shine and win the audience over.

This theatre is near the station too and near the Polygon area too if a cheap hotel is what you need for one night.

I will come back later in the year to see The Kite Runner and I'm happy to see Matilda is coming over mid 2019 as well.

User

Theatre lovely. Staff fantastic.. needed accessibility ... couldn’t have been helped more. Lady who showed to seats etc gave us 5* service, help and advice. Watched War Horse ... what a BRILLIANT show ... had the best night ... didn’t even mind getting home at 1.15am as had such a great evening. (missed our boat to the IOW). THANK YOU Mayflower, staff and cast.

User

The theatre is quite spectacular inside and well located. A short distance from both train station and multi storeys. Bars well stocked and comfortable seating. Lifts to each level and friendly staff. Another good night out.

User

Thank you for putting on your relaxed performance of Snow White today. It was fab-u-Lous and enabled my son, who has refused to watch pantomimes in the past, to access a great show. We particularly appreciated you sending the visual story through in advance... this made a real a difference to him. Well done to the Mayflower for ensuring all children/ adults can access a great show!

User

Saw snow white today great atmosphere plenty of laughs. Craig revel Horwood at his best. Staff were very helpful with our very big group well done to you all.

User

Massive thank you to front of house staff member Jilly and team. We arrived tonight 2 hrs late for The Band due to a complete timing mix up on our side - we thought we'd wasted our £150 worth of tickets and most importantly let down our 9 year old daughter who, like us had watched the whole Let It Shine TV series . She calmly took us to one side, showed great empathy and managed to squeeze us into fantastic seats in the middle of the rear circle even when you were expecting an audience of about 2000! The show itself was amazing. Thanks!

User

I have seen quite a few shows over the last 2 years about 5. And all have been brilliant. I have just seen officer and a gentleman. And it was the best by far.The performances were amazing. Well done.

User

Customer service from the box office team has been amazing. Thank you to the team who were extremely helpful. Looking forward to Warhorse and The Band!

User

Craig Revel Horwood in Snow White and the seven diminutive mine workers (great) Absolutely fabulous 10 for his performance. What a voice and character this guy has. Add to that the Chuckle Brothers who were funny as hell, to me to you. A cast of Flawless , Prime Characters, supporting acts and dancers that surpassed all the other Pantomimes I’ve been to, and sad to say I have seen loads which did not disappoint. This was brilliant.

Thanks Mayflower Southampton.

User

A great show, my 10 yr old son and I enjoyed on wed night. The cast, the different puppets, the singing/music and the tank. We were lucky enough to have a Q & A session at the end and meet part of the the massive cast including Joey's lovely team, Albert and the talented folk singer and Freidrich. This really made the night, seeing the people behind the costumes and listening to a range of their experiences and getting an insight to the show. We were able to talk to the cast who were lovely (and must have been exhausted after the show) - Thank You

User

We saw ‘War Horse’ which in our opinion was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the show.

Show that could have been spoilt by the constant sound of paper wrestling, crisps eating from the audience. Especially during the first part. At one point, I couldn’t hear the dialogue...

Please Mayflower re-think your policy on eating food in the theatre, out of respect for the audience & the artists on stage.

User

The seats are so close together I couldn’t wait for the show to finish last Saturday just to get out of them to be honest . Very small and so uncomfortable i don’t think I will book again

User

Saw the snow white panto. Or should I say chucklevision as there was very little else other than Paul and Barry. Luckily I like them so enjoyed that.

Lighting was good but poorly setup as they blinded us. I understand it's an old theatre but the seats were made for the 7 dwarfs! In need of updating.

Also the price is very high compared to other pantomimes

User

Went to see snow white with my family. The show was good or at least what me and my daughter could see as some idiot who sets the lighting had spotlights blazing into the audience right at us every time there was a dance routine. A complete waste of money for us.

User

PLAY - Officer and a Gentleman. This was the first time I had been to the Mayflower, I had been to other shows Bodyguard and Wicked to mention a few. The first thing I noticed was that the seating was very old and you found yourself almost sitting on the person next to you ( very cramped). The show started and within 20 minutes I found myself loosing interest quicky. I hate to say this but it reminded me of a local student amateur play that you would find in a town hall. The main performer who played mayo ( with blond hair unlike gere in the movie) seemed to be over acting and his singing was nothing special ( sorry). There also seemed to be a great need to show everyone his six pack and body throughout the show . The play was flat the fight scenes were way too balletic and dancing was almost non existent and nothing special. The performer who played the Sarg played the part of the quietest Sargent ever!!! In the Military when giving orders and just wasn't powerful enough (Tip) . Some of the performers voices were muffled in the first half ( males) and yes we were very disappointed and would not recommend this play.

User

This theatre is one of the worse, I have ever been. Tiny and very uncomfortable seats! People are eating crisps and sweets the whole time what makes a very annoying noise. The show is amazing. But you can not enjoy yourself because of the bad environment.

User

Just left The Mayflower production of Titanic before the interval along with many other people. Really poor. No storyline or characters to relate to and monotone music. Very disappointed.
