Meet Lottie ๐Ÿถ who saw our vet Jenny in an emergency after getting her activity ball stuck on her lower jaw. Her owners and Jenny were unable to remove the ball whilst she was awake, so she had to be sedated. Fortunately, no damage was made to her teeth or jaw and she was able to go home later on that same day. ๐Ÿ˜ Please take care when selecting toys for your pets, make sure they are size appropriate. It was fortunate for Lottie that her owners were with her and supervising her play ๐Ÿถโšฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ€

Our head nurse Bev has been braving the elements to ensure the car park is safe in the ice. โ„๏ธ๐ŸŒจ๐Ÿฅถ Please remember to wash your dogโ€™s feet after going outside at this time of year, as salt from treated roads and pavements can be toxic if they lick it off. ๐Ÿถ

Our Out of Hours has changed. As you will be aware, until recently all of our Out of Hours emergency cover was provided by our own vets and nurses here at the practice on an โ€œon-callโ€ basis. This allowed us to ensure that you, our clients, received a consistently high standard of care at all times from our own vets and nurses. Unfortunately our vets and nurses can sometimes work 70 hours a week, if they have a busy night or weekend, which can have an impact on their ability t...o provide you with the best care during the day due to lack of sleep. We believe that working with Vets Now will allow us to ease this situation. The Vets Now clinics are staffed by vets and nurses who only work out of hours and therefore are fresh and ready to deal with emergencies at nights, weekends and bank holidays. Vets Now have suggested that you think of them as the pet equivalent of the A&E department of a hospital.

PLEASE SHARE- sent to us by a client. Our lovely Ziggy is missing from Cadnam. Ziggy is 1 1/2 years old. Missing since 18/11/18. She is microchipped. Ziggy is a slim tabby with Bengal-like markings. She should be wearing a tartan collar. Sheโ€™s new to the area so we are rather worried. If you have any information or sightings please call Midforest Vets on 02380 660400 and we can put you in contact with her owner.

Would have to say have all the best praise for the staff here. If it were not for their quick response & caring attitude I would no longer have my dog. The whole staff have been so great in Bailey's recent ventures & I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for Bailey & my partner & I. Such a caring practice who always put the animals first. I certainly will never go anywhere else.

User

Very friendly staff who have always looked after my dog whatever his needs :0)

User

Usual very friendly staff and nothing us to.much trouble

We have tried several vets in the area but we think midforest are by far the best

User

Top place. Always looked after my cats. Professional, honest, kind, understanding..... all the things you want.

User

The staff at Midforest vets are very friendly, kind and caring . My border collie Barney had been under the weather and they did some tests ,the outcome was not good news but the vet that looked after my dog was very good and understanding and helpful . sadly our beloved dog was 13 yrs old when he passed away at lyndhurst vets sugrery on the 7/6/18 . I will always be greatful to Jenny the vet that looked after us , for everything over the last 3 months of Barney's life with the care she put into helping me with barney to keep him comfortable and for us to make the most of what time we had left with him ,till the time we had to let him pass over to heaven to be with our family . x

I would use them again if and when we have another fur baby

User

The most caring and loving staff out.

After having to rush out tabby cat in due to breathing issues they were so kind and passionate about the job the do for all the pets. Unfortunately events took a bad turn which led to having to make a horrible choice to put her to sleep but they were so kind till the end making sure she was never alone though the night to answering all the endless phone calls to find out how she was. They made us feel at home while there and never judged us when we seem to always leave crying. Thanks for all you do.

User

Thanks for the care Richard gave Rosie today - sadly not the outcome we would have liked, but your advice and care was a fantastic mix of pragmatism and compassion mixed into one. Thanks to all of you for being there throughout her thankfully mostly trouble free life.

User

Lovely people and nice place

User

Lovely caring staff took great care of corky cat over the years and so supportive when I had to make the sad decision to say goodbye to him. Thank you for the lovely card xx

User

Looked after my cat tizzy until the end. So compassionate when I had to say goodbye and made us as a family feel a lot happier he had been taken care of.

User

Just had to have my beautiful greyhound Lincoln put to sleep. James Elliott was the most caring person and made this awful thing almost bearable. Very patient and no rushing. Thank you so much.

User

I'd like to say a big thank you to all the staff for looking after my precious boy especially to James for staying up half the night trying to stabilise him but also to Richard for being so compassionate and understanding when we had to make the hard decision to let Roly go. Not forgetting the amazing nurses for caring for him so well and giving him lots of cuddles and all the other staff for being so helpful and flexible and letting me fit in visits round a busy working day. You all deserve a medal thanks I'm just sorry it was all in vain we are feeling very lost without him x

User

I took my cat into be checked over as he had a scratch on his neck and the vet who looked at him was awesome and my cat was not nervous at all and he was as good as gold for her. Wonderful place and caring staff. Would recommend this place to everyone.

User

I recommend James Elliott- we have used him for both our dogs in some emergency situations. My bulldog was hit by a car, he was great and so calm, she made a full recovery.

Our staffy needed a womb removing urgently due a womb infection. He spotted the signs ( which were hard to diagnose in my view) and saved her life. He is unlike other vets as he looks at the bigger picture, considers nutrition and doesn't just prescribe drugs. I have nominated him for a star award with pet plan.

The receptionist staff genuinely love animals. Becky is always so polite and caring. Thanks midforest.

User

I have been with Midforest Vets for all my animals for many years. They have always been amazing and recently when I acquired a very nervous young dog from dogs trust they worked with me to make sure that she did not have a bad experience when being spayed. Staff ate just brilliant.

User
