This is a nice little article for those of you involved in ANY activity that involves running and suffer from shin splints.
There's a couple of cracking exercises to try as part of a warm up before you start your activity which will go a long way to help prevent the onset of shin splints

Happy Monday all! -- So back pain, we all get it from time to time (even that once great philosopher Britney Spears) - and as reported by NHS Choices, is the most common cause of work-related absence. However it's NOT usually serious and RARELY requires a scan (X-ray, MRI etc) -- The back itself is one of the most robust structures in the body and the pain itself can be a sudden incident or even develops over time.... -- This can be caused by a whole wide range of factors including, and not exclusive to: muscles, joint, weight gain, stress, trauma, illness, inactivity -- If you're struggling with your back pains, get in contact via DM or: ‚ėéÔłŹ 07990078121 ūüíĽ mjpsportstherapy@gmail.com

ūüí•New Treatment Techniqueūüí• ūüĒ•Blood Flow RestrictionūüĒ•
So I’ve had this little beauty as part of my treatment options for a couple of months now & had some great progress using it so I’d thought I’d share how BFR training can benefit literally anybody ----... Firstly, big thanks to @tobythorne9 & @aaronj_3 from @newburyrfc for acting as guinea pigs. Both have had different injuries where they’ve been unable to tolerate heavier loads in their rehab which has led to muscle atrophy, strength loss&functional impairments. We’ve used BRF as a bridge towards heavier loading during this spell when heavy loads would be tolerated well! [1] --- You can use ANY exercise for your targeted muscle on BFR and it doesn’t take much time to complete; so you can add it into your normal exercise routines. Sounds great right!?!
What to do: 30% of 1 rep max 4 sets 20 seconds work 20 seconds rest 2-3 x a week
Cuff pressures vary due to upper or lower limb & size of person. Aim for a perceived 7/10 cuff tightness and you won‚Äôt go far wrong [2,3,4]. ----- So how does it work? ūü§ďūü§ď Metabolic accumulation Fast twitch muscle fibre recruitment Increased protein synthesis Cell swelling [5] ---- If you feel like this is the missing link in your training or as part of your rehab, contact me on 07990078121 or mjpsportstherapy@gmail.com to come have a go with this game changer!
