Why should you microchip your cat? If you would like to book your cat in for a microchip, please call us today!

Not sure how much food your pet needs on a daily basis? Always read the feeding guidelines on the back of the pouch or bag... and feed according to the weight your pet should be, not what they are! If you're worried about how much to feed, our nurses are on hand to help!

Stomatitis is a horrible autoimmune disease, usually found in cats. It causes severe inflammation around the gums, tongue and even into the throat – when the cat becomes allergic to their own plaque. This is one reason why minimising plaque in a cat's mouth is very important, through brushing or other methods. Please speak to us at the surgery for more information.

Small dogs seem to adore fox and badger holes. Has your dog's nose ever got them into bother? It has been known for dogs to lose themselves in fox dens and badger setts – so be careful.

If only it was this easy to give all dog's their ear drops!

Redruth Christmas markets start this Saturday !

User

Why does your cat do the things they do?

User

Dogs wag their tails when they are happy but cats do it when they are cross. So, if the tail is wagging, stay away!

Free weekend parking at Rosewarne starts in Camborne this weekend and on all weekends leading up to Christmas

Brr.. those dog walks are getting colder!

Christmas has come to Camborne....

The vast majority of kittens born in the UK are from unplanned litters, which are so easily prevented and add so much to the unwanted cats in the UK.

Our new state of the art Redruth surgery is proud to be accredited as an International Society of Feline Medicine ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic for our feline patients

The small teeth at the front of the mouth between the fangs are called the incisors – even in healthy mouths these can wobble a little. It’s because they are single rooted and in a prominent area. If your pet’s teeth are concerning you, or their breath can knock you out – please give us a call!

Epilepsy is sadly quite common in dogs & often affects younger animals. Fits can come on suddenly & be very scary for you. If one ever happens, stay calm, turn off the lights & call us straight away!

£115.75 has been raised by Monument Vets for Cornwall Retired Greyhound Trust from the collection boxes at Camborne and Redruth - many thanks, this will go to help the greyhounds in our care. Our branch in Cornwall is run solely by volunteers and all the money we raise is used in Cornwall for the greyhounds and their owners.

Yesterday I had to take my cat in for the final time, Ben was amazing gave me time to say goodbye to Rummie, not rushed us even though people were waiting in reception. A very compassionate and caring people,

User

Wonderful vets and so very caring after I had to make the decision no pet owner ever wants to make....particular shoutout to the wonderful Eleanor who was so comforting and made my Guinea Pig’s final moments pleasant and painless x Have other animals registered here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your practise to anyone else with pets

User

Very polite, friendly people. The service is fantastic and my dog actually loves going in to see the vets and receptionist. Couldn't recommend enough

Today I came back with my collie for the 2nd part of a new booster and her Kennel Cough vaccination. She got Kennel Cough terribly last year, after being so ill from that I wanted to vaccinate her this year. After her injection she reacted terribly to trying to giving her the Kennel Cough vaccination- at absolutely no fault to the vet. The vet didn't push her after her initial reaction, we discussed why she was having it and agreed now was not the right time. I was also not charged for the 'failed' vaccination (only failed because of my dogs reaction). I can't praise the vet we saw enough (Ruth I think?). I can't recommend here enough, the staff are so caring, patient and just wonderful.

User

Thank you so much for your kind message and all your care towards our 20 year-old cat Samson, who originally came over from the Isles of Scllly on the helicopter.

User

Thank you so much for the care and compassion shown to my dear cat Angel (and myself) in the last moments of her life. I cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. You are all wonderful xx

User

Thank you Ben for your patience with our dog reactive Rottie Yogi who came for his annual booster today. It was a calmer visit today, thank you for taking the time to listen to our story on how we think Yogi became dog reactive, and also for not telling us to get him ,"done," we had an in depth discussion about this last year with Alex and agreed in Yogi's case this would not benefit him with his reactive issues. We will endeavour to get some weight off him as suggested, think Yogi took a shine to you Ben, so any future visits will be on your Watch!!!!! Thank you....

User

Sadly we lost our little family member last year our Cornish Rex, kitt. Very very sad we know the vets did the best for us and Kitt, thank you .We now have two more little girls, Cornish Rex and take them to monument vets and they are wonderful with them.

User

Made to feel very welcome on our first visit and really happy with the care given to our girls. Highly recommend this practice to anyone. :)

User

Just got back from Vets for Stans 2nd vac. He couldn't wait to get into see Ben, and I had some very good health advice for Stan.

I have been through some sad and some happy times at this vets, they have looked after my animals and myself for the past 20 years. I'm always made to feel welcome by receptionists and nurses alike. That goes a long way when you have a sick animal and you have no idea what you are facing, so a massive thank you from me, Stan, Martha and yapping buddy!!

User

I wouldn't take my pet anywhere else. Sadly, we lost our best friend of 15 years last year but In his later years, when we were unsure sometimes, Ben was always so reassuring and they provide a really personal service. When we eventually get another dog, he will be going there too.

User

I love this place. The vets are wonderful as are the nurses and support staff. They really looked after my senior greyhound Nuala yesterday whilst she went in to have teeth out (and were so lovely to me too, knowing how anxious I was). We have lived in many places in the UK due to hubby's job and have been registered with many vets and I can say hand on heart this is the best. Highly recommended!

User

I have been taking my pets to this vets practice since the days when "Uncle Fry" was there and its as kind and caring now as it was under the name of Fry Usher & Edwards. Wouldnt take my furries anywhere else. A huge thank you to all at Monument for the way they looked after my Alfonzo after he was hit by a car on Wednesday morning xx

User

I have always been with this practice. Even when it started in Pendarves Rd, my dad took our animals (Then Fry, Usher & Edwards). I have never changed. All my animals have been well looked after. Would recommend this practice to everyone. Both Camborne and Redruth.

User

Huge thank you to Alex , who operated on our little Nemo earlier this year. Nemo, a Chorkie, had been born with a withered front leg. My sister Michele (who bred him) brought him to Alex who did a fantastic job, managing to remove his underdeveloped leg and to cover his stump. Weeks on, Nemo is now part our child filled family, and is doing amazingly..he can out run all of us! Just won best puppy at a local fun show! Thank you! X

User

Fudge, Tressa and Tarow are always so well looked after when they go along to the Camborne branch. All the Vets and staff are so kind and give honest and caring advice.. So pleased we changed years ago..

User

Diagnosed our Westie cross with diabetes aged 11, and helped us give him a fantastic life for five years after, and still looks after his brother who will celebrate his eighteenth birthday next month! Our eight year old adoptee parrot also loves Alex after a pedicure!

User

Amazing, caring and professional staff. Barney had an operation, sadly he suffered a possible stroke

We bought him home and in 48hours he has made a full recovery. Special thanks to Paul and Ben xx
