Wonderful sandy beach and a great holiday park - ideal for families.

User

We love our trips down here! Such a beautiful spot with gorgeous views, a fab beach and lovely walks!

User

Stunning place to stay. Staff are friendly and facilities are great. Been a few times now, didn't make it this year as we've moved to Scotland! Are coming down next year though, very excited

User

Stayed in the touring field in our own campervan, facilities were clean and good condition. Park was well kept, looking beautiful and tidy, well stocked shop was reasonably priced for campsite groceries.

5 min walk to the stunning bay with amazing views! We’d recommend this site and give it 4 stars - maybe the showers could be modernised to give it 5 star status. Overall a peaceful stay and friendly welcome, thank you!

Our camping weekend at Mother Ivey's Bay was a lovely and enjoyable break. This is our second time there. The location is ideal, the field is flat, each pitch size is generous, giving much space for privacy. There are quiet spaces within the large, sectioned compound, as well as a fun playground for kids. We stayed in the Meadow Field, which has unspoilt and attractive plants; we even spotted a few wild orchids. The campsite shop is of a good standard, with affordable food and various goods. The private beach is ideal for relaxing or for water activities, and the numerous easy walks on the coastal paths give plenty to do. Toilets and shower facilities were clean and private, with toilet paper provided. Hot water was always available for washing up too. Recycling facilities are also available. The campsite rules allow for a smooth stay and minimise potential dangers, for example fires are not allowed, but can have standard BBQs.

The site has beautiful grounds devided with attractive Cornish stone walls and colourful flowers.

The owners and all staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. What we particularly liked was the management involvement with wildlife organisations and the Wadebridge food Bank, to which they give generously.

Overall, highly recommendable campsite.

My happy place I spend the year looking forward to my annual visit.

What’s not to love about breathtaking strolls just yards from your bed, warm pasties and cakes from the on-site shop, a glorious, clean, turquoise sea to play in, a beautifully maintained and manicured site and my personal favourite highlight NO WIFI!!

A fabulous place to switch off and unwind.

User

Lovely setting. Very friendly and helpful staff x definitely will recommend to all my friends and family x

User

Love this place. Have been coming here for the past 5 years camping in my tent with friends. Great staff that are very accommodating and willing to help, very clean site and just 2 minutes walk to the beach. Would highly recommend.

Fab family camping weekend in aid of Wadebridge food bank and stores - thanks for the company and entertainment

Booked for our 3rd year for 2017, my husband james describes this place as the tonic he needs each year, couldnt imagine not coming back, the ability to walk to 4 different beaches from the camp site is our pull plus the feel of the place and the people are just lovely 😀☀️🏄🏽🏄🏻‍♀️

User

A fantastic camp site with beautiful views and a wide range of beaches with great surf within walking distance. Direct access onto the beach in the evenings and the opportunity to watch the Padstow RNLI lifeboat go out. Great amenities, quiet at 11pm, and a huge amount of space to walk around, play football and enjoy the views up on the headland. A dogs heaven! The staff at the campsite are very friendly and why would we want to go anywhere else. Perfect for our annual holiday with other families. This could be our 7th year in a row!! Booked today for 2018 yay! Claire Ambler

Amazing feel to the place. Pitches are lovely and big so you don't feel you are too packed in when camping the the main field. Safe for my kids to cycle everywhere and great that there are 3 different bays in walking distance from the campsite. However I must note that half of the showers I had were cold?!!! Maybe that feature needs to be looked at? Apart from that, great shop, great play park and clean facilities. We shall be coming back.

Sad to say that having been visiting Mother Ivey’s for over 10 years we have seen a real slip in standards this year. Meadows toilet/shower blocks don’t seem to be cleaned regularly, out of toilet paper, no hand soap most of the time and a disgusting towel hung on the paper towel dispenser to use when out of paper towels - again. Reception staff very dismissive when trying to get change for the launderette. Palace shower block already showing wear and tear after being redecorated earlier in the year. Again, rarely any hand soap and sometimes out of toilet paper. Disappointing when your standards have always previously seemed so high.

User

Looked nice great situ but we were visiting friends at a static caravan for the afternoon and we were charged entrance. Not particular fair.

Nor was the reception lady that turned away a mum with a very little girl that needed the loo and sent her to the other side of the site. Bless the little tot who was desperate.

A tad more work on customer service me thinks

The new caravan 179 this season is poor, in my opinion not Diamond standard. The previous 179 caravan, in which I have stayed for the last six years or so was of a higher spec and was much better appointed. The current, new, van does not have opening French doors at the front of the caravan; instead of sofas, there is now fixed seating that doesn't allow you to look outside at the wonderful views but instead face inwards; there is totally inappropriate seating for the dining table if you have any problems with your back and the 'master' bedroom has so many issues that it's impossible to list them all. I should have been there for the second week of May but found the van so disappointing and uncomfortable I came home after two days. The owner of site, who is responsible for the vans, still refuses to accept there is any validity in any of my complaints. Since the early 1960s, off and on, this has been my place for creating happy memories ... but sadly no more.

User

Maintenance not fab, nice spot, great views, lovely beach. Considering that part of coast is very rough with big waves and the expensive camping fees the site should be hiring a life guard! Witnessed a child dragged in by waves early evening at the beach BBQ. Luckily 2 strong swimmers rescued the child.

Not fun showering a 6 yr old in the cold showers, twice not working in a short week stay, stone cold. Broken toilet seats and toilet door locks remained the same all week! Very expensive shop. WIFI room is pointless.

User

After buying a new Transporter 6 seater LWB for my family holiday I was informed on check in I was not allowed to park my vehicle in the meadows.

The reason given was it was a van!

I disagree it cost me just short of 40k!

The first night I was told by there not so bright security guard that if I didn’t move it I would face being evicted!

I then had to park by reception each night making packing for days out etc a nightmare with young children.

The showers in one block were cold, the other family block were that powerful my young children could not stand the pressure.

The Staff were more bothered about removing transporters they didn’t notice a chain on a swing had snapped!

We will not be returning to this low class Camp Site!
