London on a sunny day is so beautiful! Thanks to the person spotted picking up plastic and rubbish here, while it would be amazing to one day not need to do this it's good to see awareness of the problem and people doing what they can to fix it! 💚🍁🌎 @ Thames Path

On our trip away, we visited Sumidero Canyon. It was a beautiful place but we were shocked to see this kind of #pollution and even more shocked to see the amount of #wildlife living in the area likely to be affected by this.
We could have easily avoided this #plastic and polluted part of the river, but we’re pleased @explore.worldwide took us there, as it’s important for more people to see what is really happening. I’m sure many of our group, like us, found this difficult to see but hopefully it will only encourage them further to make more #sustainable lifestyle choices.

We were pleased to find the majority of places we visited across Mexico, Guatemala and Belize did not use plastic straws - either no straws at all or they were clearly marked biodegradable. They still have a long way to go on reducing waste and single use plastic as we will show you tomorrow, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. Of course we’d always say it’s best to go straw free or bring your own, but everyone has to start somewhere.

You might have seen our post about shade natural sunscreen earlier. We've been told for so long to wear suncream to protect our skin from damage the sun can cause but we haven't always known or heard about the damage the chemicals in suncream can be doing to the environment. Natural sunscreen is a great way to protect your skin and the environment at the same time! 🐢🌊

As we're all about the Suncream this week, Rachael has shared with us her top tip for using #suncream - Add mineral powder foundation to #natural sunscreen to avoid the white, pasty feel you can get from zinc coverage.
