Went this evening for the first time in over a year and was pleasantly surprised to see it was just as good as we remembered. Excellent food, good portions, very friendly staff and an extensive menu. They do now add a service charge to the bill (10% in our case), which I can appreciate not everyone is comfortable with, but the service staff were clear that it was entirely optional.

We've eaten here several times and as a vegan The new forest inn have always been great at catering for me, but we visited most recently this weekend and it was great to see you've now added vegan dishes to your menu! The Alice in Wonderland pie was just delicious, please keep it on your menu forever lol!!! �

Visited two Monday’s in a row. Both times fantastic food (the pies are to die for) and exceptional service. Love this place. Can’t wait to come back on holiday again to sample more delish food. Thank you!

Lovely inn went for lunch on way home from Christchurch with 2 dogs.an amazing dog friendly pub cushions and treats for our 4 legged friends. The meal was lovely and would recommend to everyone

I have visited for food many times and never been disappointed. Last night I stayed over to celebrate my birthday. The food as ever great, the beer was good, the room was basic but comfortable with everything I needed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful as they sorted me a fan for my room as it was a tad hot. And thanks for the birthday card - much appreciated. See you soon.

Haven’t visited for a couple of years but so glad we called in for lunch! Warm welcome, delicious food and beautiful surrroundings - what more can you ask for? 😊 We’ll be back!

Came across this pub yesterday whilst out & about. What a great find. Food was brilliant & they give huge portions �. The bar staff were lovely & very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area visiting. We will definitely be back �

We’ve visited here a good few times and the food is always excellent and the staff always friendly and helpful.

However, it’s very disappointing that there is absolutely no children’s facilities. In mid October, on a very chilly day I was advised to change my newborn daughters nappy on an outside table.

Great pub, good food and an extensive menu, lovely garden, a bit on the expensive side and didn’t like the service charge of 20% added it is a ‘pub’ not a restaurant makes it a expensive pub lunch.Have been to this pub many times, don’t think I will be going as often �

had two starters and a fish and chip main.

The whole meal started off ok (if not for the tiny KING PRAWNS and expensive prices). We were eating outside.... but when I lifted the fish from the chips to find a large dead fly in amongst the chips, it went down hill from there.

I took the meal back and the staff didn’t even apologise, then when asked wether we would get a refund on that.... they came with just the fish and chip money, even though our dog ate the rest of the starters.... they made us feel as if we had put it there!!!!

Then we were approached and offered a free drink, to which we said we had just paid for one more wine and I am driving, so no thanks.

Disgusted really how the management didn’t even come and talk to us and really just tried to avoid us....

Last time for us! I hope other people get a better experience!
