Fabulous news! Chris Gooderham has done it! Sharing his wife's post: Well, he did it! He reached Lands End just before midnight. Chris Gooderham is one of the most tenacious people I know. He didn't give up. He is a truly inspiring man. Words are not enough to say how very proud I am, and how very grateful I am, to the crew that kept him going. Its not all about Chris today! Look what our lovely work experience student Fran has baked for us....delicious lemon drizzle for her last day at work. It has been a pleasure hosting such a respectful and professional youngster from Bideford College - she has dealt with the boring bits especially well!

Chris has reached Chepstow! Only another 170 miles...

Stopped at the aptly named Halfway House, Chorley, Chris is quite a lot further than halfway home. Fuelled by his wife's flapjacks (eating and digesting enough is proving tricky), he is more than halfway through 'hump' day. I will post a mile counter tonight ☺

Chris says everything hurts! Except his ears! He has reached half way and is doing exceptionally well. Today he is struggling and would love your encouragement. The best thing about his journey at the moment are the motivational messages he is receiving so keep them coming please :o)

Yay!! Dr Chris Gooderham has made it as far as England! Home soon 😂

Update on Dr Chris...he had some knee problems towards the end of yesterday but still managed to cycle well over 200 miles. This morning at 9.30, he had made it to Kinross - thats 250 miles into his epic cycle - keep pedalling and avoid those midges!

Massive good luck to our very own Chris Gooderham who began his epic non-stop cycle from John O Groats to Lands End around 4am this morning.

Coffee morning exceeds expectations
On Saturday 6th May approximately 100 people indulged their taste buds with some tantalising sweet treats and bargain bric-a-brac. Not only did we guess the weight of this gorgeous chocolate creation, but we rummaged through second hand clothes stalls, brought wonderful crafts and generally spoiled ourselves rotten! The fabulous news from the baking of lemon drizzle, marshmallow sponge, coffee and walnut, boiled fruit cake and scones galore is that the wonderful Kate Sloman has raised an incredible £1836 towards her trip to Mexico with Projects Abroad, to help vulnerable children in orphanages. Thank you to all involved.

We definitely see this in practice - it is extremely rewarding to hear that a patient now finds it easier to smile.
