"I've been surprised by the range of things which a reflexology treatment can cover. I initially came for treatments to support fertility treatments but I've had help with back pain, pelvic pain and lymphatic drainage. I've always walked out of a treatment standing taller, and feeling better. The emotional support has been fantastic. Nicky provides a safe space to talk through and resolve any fears and worries. My husband has gone from being a complete sceptic about complementary therapies to actively encouraging me to have treatments, supporting me in arranging treatments for our son, and considering treatments himself." "I have recommended Nurture 4 Life to so many people as I truly believe you couldn't find a better place to get support with fertility issues.
I am now pregnant after four years of trying! Throughout my time with Nicky I felt less stressed and more positive.
I just want to say thank you for always being there and for going above and beyond wherever possible. I feel so lucky to have connected with Nurture 4 Life at such a hard time." Mrs B.

When one of our mums brought her two year old son in for a cranial osteopathy session, his reaction (and his mum's email) is too cute not to share... "Kerri was fab and worked with him in whatever position he put himself in (including on my lap, on the floor and wandering around). Her manner was so lovely and she asked his permission and kept him informed calmly and quietly with every touch. As we left, he turned to me and said "that was so lovely Mummy!". He has mention...ed "the Osteopath" on quite a few occasions since then, including making up this joke: - "Knock Knock" - "Who's there? -"Osteop" -"Osteop who?" -"Osteopath!" :) :) I think he enjoyed it!

Yes! We as adults know how calming and reassuring it feels to be touched or stroked, especially when we're in pain or feeling upset so it's SOO helpful for little ones too. We've witnessed it so many times when teaching our mums to use Kids Reflex techniques on their babies.
"Touch seems to have analgesic potential without the risk of side-effects."
A new study monitored the brain activity of 32 babies while they had blood tests. Half of them were stroked with a soft brush b...eforehand and those showed 40% less pain activity in their brain. (The optimal stroke is 3cm per second). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-4659164 0…

For those of you who have been through IVF, was your employer aware and supportive? Or maybe the company had a dedicated HR policy for it's staff undergoing IVF treatment? This article from both a HR manager and person who has undergone three rounds of IVF calls for improved HR policies. After all, "IVF isn't trivial - it's life-changing". In a 2016 research survey, 'The Impact of Fertility Problems', half of all respondents said they needed more than a week off during one cycle and the survey found that people not supported by their employers often took more time off work. https://www.peoplemanagement.co.uk/…/iv f-should-be-higher-o…

IVF can feel like a bit of a scary process when you're facing it for the first time. We see lots of couples who are told they need IVF and aren't told exactly what will happen during the process and what it all means. So the lovely Jessica Hepburn gives an overview of the 6 steps that happen in every treatment.
Yes, the IVF stimulation phase can feel like a numbers game and its easy to become fixated on how many follicles are developing and how many healthy eggs you'll get but don't forget that you only need one... Something we can't say enough to all our amazing couples undergoing IVF. xx https://www.createfertility.co.uk/…/a-d etailed-ivf-process-…

Some good news to start the new year? Fertility Network's #Scream4IVF campaign gathered 100,000 signatures in just 12 weeks and has a huge amount of support to end the IVF postcode lottery. "Infertility is a medical condition and it's about time it was treated as one". https://www.mirror.co.uk/…/ivf-postcode -lottery-laid-bare-1…

Nicky does love a good book. And this is a great one. For anyone facing the prospect of IVF it can feel a little overwhelming when you don’t know what to expect. Which is why this book, brilliantly written by a couple who have been through it and share their experiences and everything you need to know...

“I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were, because we don’t talk about them. We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken.”
We’re not. You’re not alone and it’s not your fault. Michelle Obama’s honesty goes to show that it can happen to anyone and it’s not your fault. We just need to break the silence. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canad a-46154857
