A visit to school yesterday to catchup with the decorators. Hall almost complete! Now filling all the staple holes in the reception classroom, (Mrs Fulton and Mrs Bruce are banned from stapling in the walls forever š) patching up cracks, sanding down to make them smooth and applying a first and second coat!
Weāve ordered new display boards for all classrooms so that staff can display childrenās learning and celebrate success without causing damage to the walls.

Finish the hall skirting boards, sand and paint the doors.

Apply a second coat and start on woodwork in Year R.
ā
Prep the Year 1 classroom and begin decorating.
ā
Prep and paint the foyer, offices and waiting area.
ā
Asbestos removal and check before we remove the carpets!

New carpets to be fitted
ā
Hall floor to be sanded back, prepped and sealed.
ā
Trim trail installation, edging and flooring.
ā
New decking outside Year R and equipment deliveries for the new outside area!
ā
Deep Clean the school.
ā
Teachers to begin creating classrooms with displays, timetables and areas.
I think weāll need a Holiday? š after this āHoliday!ā

Thank you so much to these two wonderful volunteers - Jane and Gary Mills (and their friends who came to visit) - who have done an amazing job at clearing the school grounds already. Two days of solid work with another set for tomorrow. The transformation is amazing, thank you for your help!

As mentioned in the recent newsletter, the correct PE uniform consists of a white T/Shirt and burgundy shorts. They are both available to purchase at Skoolkit in Totton. We would recommend plimsolls for indoor PE and trainers for outdoor PE.
Black shorts are no longer an option (for purchase) from Skoolkit.

ššššššššššš ššššš During the last week, 2 of our pupils in Year 2 have come up with their own project to help save the planet! They have called themselves āTotton Waste Warriorsā and their parents have created a group on Facebook - go check it out! Inspired by seeing all of the litter carpeting the ground on their walk home from school, they have organised a walk in order to put the rubbish back where it belongs - in the bin! Join them on their adventure at Cheam Way Recreat...ion Ground at 10am on Wednesday, August 7 2019. If you have black bags, white bags, gloves and litter pickers, please bring them along. Oakfield is right behind you girls and I hope as many people can come along and support your amazing idea.
