Swindon 'CFS Filtration' Robins Rider of the Month - Sponsored by Hobbs Authentic Sporting Memorabilia - MAY
MAY was something of a disjointed and transitional month for the team with departing riders, new additions and a number of injuries. With this in mind, we're putting forward a three-horse race for the May award with Adam, Troy and Jason up for nomination.
Four double figures scores from Adam showed great scoring and superb consistency as our GB middle order man gets be...tter and better. Jason hit two great scores but was affected by injury missing one meeting and struggling in another. Troy was his always consistent and entertaining self with three double figure scores. Sadly for our April winner Toby, his month was blighted by injury appearing just the once. Zach battled away but struggled for points from reserve and May saw Dawid and James leave the Robins and Rasmus and Ellis Perks join the team.

TROY Batchelor raced to a paid maximum against his former club as Swindon pulled off a hard-fought 50-40 win over King’s Lynn at the Abbey. The CFS Filtration Robins took three league points and also prevented the Stars from gaining any consolation as Batchelor combined with skipper Jason Doyle for a 5-1 over the visitors’ big guns Craig Cook and Robert Lambert in Heat 15. Doyle himself was unbeaten apart from a disqualification when he tangled with Lambert in Heat 13, whilst...

SWINDON were held to a 45-45 draw by Poole as a bruising Bank Holiday Monday resulted in just one Premiership point for the Abbey side. The CFS Filtration Robins never trailed on the night, yet with the Pirates gaining momentum the longer the meeting went on, and skipper Jason Doyle unable to take his final programmed ride, there was the feeling that the home side had still taken one more league point than might have been the case. As it was, that point was gained by a brave ...

SWINDON went down to a 51-39 defeat at Poole on Monday lunchtime – with several riders involved in crashes. As a result, the CFS Filtration Robins have had to change their plans for tonight’s return fixture at the Abbey, which gets underway at 7.30pm. Rossiter’s side were reduced in numbers on the morning of the meeting with Dawid Lampart ruled out after reportedly suffering a hand injury in Poland yesterday. Swindon have been informed that Lampart’s UK start permission has ...
