Here's a little example of the sort of support we are still able to offer -
We did an assessment review over the telephone this morning on a couple who are at high risk of infection. The carer has no way of going out as she dare not, as it would have dire consequences to her husband if any infection was brought into the house. They have no family nearby so no one to get things for them. With her per...mission – we contacted BPRCVS. We explained the situation and they took the carers name, address and telephone number. They wanted to know what assistance they required – which in this case was shopping – possible prescriptions.
They will then contact the carer and give them the name of the volunteer who has been assigned to them. That volunteer will then ring them and introduce themselves, check what they need etc. The volunteer will ask them to make a list out of the things they need (and possible alternatives if not available) and get the cash ready for them. The volunteer will arrange a time to come round and pick the list and money up from the carer. They will then go and get the items and return with them and their change. That volunteer will then arrange to do whatever with the carer after that – they will help them again as they need and will give them their telephone number etc to call if needed or arrange to call at a set date/time each week etc. They are also helping with dog walking.
This is a very good service and easy to sort. Individuals can ring themselves if needed.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak i would like to reassure all of my lovely clients that I am following all government guidelines with regards to staying safe at this time. I am fully well and if for any reason felt unwell I would reschedule all appointments immediately until I was better.
As you all know I am always on top of keeping my house and work room clean, but would like to ask my clients to wash or sanitise your hands before your appointment, and if you are feeling un...well, please message me with as much notice as possible. I will do my very best to get you booked back in again as soon as you are feeling well 😊
I would also like to note that I am sterilising my hands and work area including doors and handles before and after each appointment.
