The Environmental Agency are at Penrose repairing the damaged Audit from Loe Pool to the sea. This is needed to manage the water levels of the pool and prevent helston from flooding.

Moving our cows around Penrose Estate today looking for grass.

This is what we do during the day. You may see a. potato lorry in the campsite drive. I will leave some potatoes in a box next to the shower block to eat. They are best put in tin foil then on a fire/barbecue. Martin. ⛺️

Our potatoes returned to us in the form of Burts crisps from the fields at Treza farm on the other side of Porthleven. See if you can find some?

When you find this campsite there really is no need to go and find another one - that's if you appreciate camping for how camping was / should be. The views are stunning, your pitch can be as small (or as big) as you so desire and the facilities are clean and very easily accessible no matter which field you choose to make your home for however long you are there.

Lisa and Martin are simply delightful people. They will do whatever they can to ensure your stay is exactly as you want it to be. Their kids are the same - a truly lovely family.

My son, George, was devastated to leave this place, as was I. We were born for Cornish life and our only complaint is that we don't live closer so we can revel in it on a regular basis. How lucky you are if you live in a ridiculously beautiful part of the world.

Thank you for everything - roll on next summer! I might just book in for the whole 6 weeks holidays! ⛺️❤️ xxx

We’ve been visiting Penrose now for five years

It’s a fabulous place.

We are counting down the days for our summer trip, even the dog loves her time at Penrose. We just can’t wait to be pitched up see you all at the end of July and most of August. #Ihopethesummerisgoodtousall

We had a fabulous 3 nights at Penrose exploring the beautiful beaches, woodlands and generally just chilling out. Penrose bought back many memories of good old fashioned camping. Families and friends talking , playing and exploring together . Thank you so much

User

Superb site with easy access - best of both worlds as you can take a gentle stroll to the lovely fishing village of Porthleven or a longer walk through the picturesque trail to Helston. A relaxed campsite that is well maintained and the friendly owners just make it easy for you to enjoy your stay. No need to book as plenty of space and exceptionally welcoming. If you're looking for a first time campsite as not visited Cornwall before then make this your priority - you'll be glad you did. Highly recommended.

User

Spent a lovely bank holiday here. Only negative I can say is the showers only had one temperature which was hot and as the weather was gorgeous sun shining it was like a sauna in there, also the toilets got extremely hot to.

User

Lovely location. Well placed for visiting the whole area. Lovely owners. Brilliant walks to Porthleven and Loe Bar. Well maintained toilets and showers. Only thing I didn't like was people emptying their chemical toilets down the loo. Great that you are not restricted by pitches and can respectfully make your camp however you like. Even when it chucked it down, the owners made sure the entrances were still as usable as farmland can be by sucking up the puddles!!

User

Lovely campsite, facilities really good and clean. Thank you Martin and Lisa and hope to see you again!

User

Love it here. We are locals who visit several times each summer. The views are sensational, the owners are lovely, the prices are reasonable

User

Looking forward to you opening again this year. Love the peace and quiet of your site.

User

I lovely campsite situated between the famous National Trust Penrose Estate and the town of Porthleven. Fantastic sea views and a relaxing atmosphere are in abundance. Acres of space to spread yourself around in and children and dogs can enjoy the fields to run around and play in. We highly recommend this site!

User

Had a fantastic time, very changeable weather, re-pegging the tent in my undies while it was throwing it down at 6am . Really friendly owners nothing too much trouble! Great facilities. Just can't wait to revisit. Fantastic campsite!!!!!!!

User

Had a family get together, we are locals but with these views and location we booked two nights and loved it, toilets & showers are better than expected but most importantly they were clean could not fault a thing xxx

User

Excellent place been coming here for the last 3 years.fully recommend this place if you just want a nice quiet campsite within a short walk to beaches and town centre.

User

Clean, relaxed, loads of space and so convenient for beach and porthleven town

User

Cannot recommend this site enough. From the clean facilities, the the friendly welcoming owners, this site is ideal for small families, couples, individuals and larger groups.

A short walk into the lovely village of Porthleven and a great base for exploring further afield.

Plenty of showers and toilets, which are kept in great condition. No marked pitches so take as much space as you like and choose your own pitch.

We will definitely return here, and wish Lisa and Martin every success with both the camping and their farm.

User

Another fantastic and fab holiday thank you both Lisa and Martin for providing a fab relaxed place to stay and enjoy
