Bude has gone viral! You may have read this story in one of the national newspapers this week but it really made us chuckle! 😂

This Saturday is Bude Carnival! Dating back to 1920, this annual event is a firm fixture in the local calendar and raises a lot of money for good causes. The event gets underway at 2.00pm with a charity fete in the Castle grounds. The procession then leaves the Lower Wharf at 6.30pm before making its way through the town.

FRAUDULENT PRIVATE OWNER BOOKINGS - PROTECT YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HOLIDAY
We all know how much we look forward to our holidays. When you book your holiday it is really important to make sure you carry out the appropriate checks to ensure that your payment, and your holiday booking, is safe.

Join us at Pentire Coastal Holiday Park for our 2018 Part-Exchange Event.
Stay free of charge for one or two nights on our Touring Park and view the range of holiday homes on display. We have a number of Caravan Dealers on standby to provide same-day no obligation prices on your caravan and for one weekend only we also have the ability to offer some very generous part-exchange 'top-ups'. Together with our low site fees, holiday home ownership is more affordable that you mig...ht think.
Many of our Holiday Homes Owners started out with Touring Caravans. They found that as the years go by and family circumstances change, so does the way in which they like to spend their leisure time. Often the transition goes from touring holidays to a seasonal pitch where regular towing isn't required, to holiday home ownership. With much more space as well as heating and double glazing, a holiday home can be enjoyed at any time of the year during our 12 month season.
Pentire is a pet-friendly park located just a short distance from Bude on the north coast of Cornwall. A choice of stunning beaches await you - come and take a look at the Park of which we are all so proud.
To book your free pitch, please call Andrew on 01288 321601 or email andrew.shutlar@parkleisure.co.uk

Another beautiful evening, another beautiful beach! This time a perfect evening started with a 7pm dip in the Bude SeaPool followed by some body surfing at Crooklets!! ☀️ 🌊

User

We’ve stayed here 4 times now. The caravans are beautiful, especially the new ones. The staff are professional and very well presented, they make you feel welcome. I find this park unique because the surroundings are just stunning. Just a short walk down the road and there is a couple of nice pubs. I return each year because the staff are very nice and they make sure you’ve got what you need. The staff make an effort to speak to you rather than having a robotic response, very nice environment to be in! It’s very well run and we can’t wait to return again in September for a short break.

User

We visited here for 3 nights at the end of the Easter week, with the sole purpose of visiting the new entertainer at Penstowe Manor Captain Crumble. We had originally booked a grass pitch for our Folding Camper but when we arrived they advised us due to the typical British weather we were moved to a hard standing pitch. The staff were very helpful, liked it being a gated site, toilet/showers spotlessly clean. We enjoyed it so much booked for 8 nights in July.

User

We just came home from a wonderful 6 night stay.

Originally booked in at another awful site the other side of Widemouth - After getting both our vans stuck in awful mud we had to ask for a refund - thank goodness we did - Pentire is 100% better - clean, pitches hard stand/grass, showers & toilet blocks all close to each field & kept clean - loved the music!

The separate manor house with indoor & outdoor pool was brilliant. Kids & adults loved it.

Staff so friendly & helpful especially able to accommodate 3 families at late notice.

Would definately recommend & we will return.

User

We have just returned from 4 nights camping in our tent. This is the 3rd year of using the site and have no faults with it at all. We can take the dog which is a bonus and the kids can use the park as well as using the facilities in the site next door. Love the music playing in the loos . Staff are always friendly. Toilets and showers are always cleaned. We will be booking up for another return visit hopefully in the summer.

User

We had a wonderful family holiday here. We hired a static caravan for the first time and were happily surprised at the quality of the whole campsite as well as the caravan itself. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site was clean and tidy and the shop stocked all the essentials and more. The location is a fab place to base yourself with all sorts of great attractions nearby such as the gorgeous beaches at Bude, the beautiful village of Clovelly and Tamar Otter Sanctuary. The pizza's at the next door holiday park are to die for! Also nice and close to the Lovely pub in the village if Kilkhampton- family friendly and delicious food. We will be booking again for next year as soon as the dates are available!

User

We had a lovely short break via a wowcher deal, stayed in the Daisy caravan. Really clean and very comfy bed! Great views with peace & quiet. Short walk to the stables inn for great food. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. All in all great place to recharge the batteries, will definately be back

User

We had a brill stay during pre new year period! We stopped in one of the very modern caravan booked directly with pentire! Great base for exploring this part of Cornwall. The site is small and basic but modern. Clean and tidy pathways! Available all year round which is great as we like to go out of season. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The site is open to all kinds of touring people, camping and towing alike with electric hook ups to and very clean shower blocks

User

We are on our last night of a weeks camping. Lovely site, really well kept. Evening entertainment and the pools at the manor are good and the kids loved it. Food at the manor was ok and the stables was lovely. Only gripe is that there is no food available until 5/6pm.

I treated myself to a deep tissue massage over at the manor which was very good and very reasonably priced.

We had a relatively quiet week as not many other campers. However Friday arrived and with it so did a lot of other families, many of which had absolutely no respect for other people on the site. Allowing children to ride around the sit on bikes etc with no lights and others thinking it is acceptable to encourage their children to repeatedly scream very loudly all around 11pm! I appreciate that people are excited about being on holiday but why be so blatantly rude and disrespectful

We will probably come back again if we decide to visit this part of the country in the future

User

Very clean and welcoming site. Booked last minute and was pleased to find we could arrive on a Thursday as other sites with static caravans only let you arrive on either Friday or Monday. Stayed in a Snowdrop static. The standard of cleanliness is something they should be very proud of. Great location for lots of places to visit. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be returning.

User

Spent 4 nights there 8th to 12th June camping......beautiful clean and well maintained site - credit to the people who look after it, pitches spacious, facilities exceptionally clean. staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, very dog friendly and the Stables bar next to the site was very nice as well - dog friendly ......we enjoyed it so much that booked to go back in September....see you then

User

Lovely site just spent two weeks in August with very changeable weather camping. Booked a pitch with electric with fantastic views. The pitch was a nice size and had no trouble with our 5 x 8 meter tent and car and had three toilets and shower blocks all close by. The shop has the essentials and the club house and stables bar both do good food and entertainment was Ok. Kilkington village is 15 minute leisurely walk with two pubs that do fine food. Very friendly staff and nice and clean site and highly recommend.

User

Just got back from a budget stay here. Lovely clean chalet and the grounds are kept beautiful. The club house is great for kids early in the evening and there was a full entertainment program for the adults after this. The pub on site, although not park of the company, had a great band on Saturday night. Would definitely return again

User

Have just got home from a lovely 8 days at Pentire. Not living too far away we like to visit as often as work allows !!. The staff as ever were second to none and the cleanliness outstanding. But we do have one or two criticisms, since being taken over by Park Leisure they at the moment seem to give their emphasis to static caravans and ownership. The touring area hasn't changed at all but the prices have been raised quite substantially, yet their is no longer a shop, the dog walking area is a quarter of the size and there is still only 1 dog poop bin (for us responsible owners) on the whole site, recycling bins are extremely limited which suprises me when Park Leisure have given a commitment to be environmentally pro acive on their Par Sands resort.

I hope you see this as constructive criticism and be assured I would recommend this site whole heartedly to any one and we are certainly looking forward to our next visit.

Had a great week first time with the children in 8 years camping, great facilities great park ,everything you need in the shop and you can walk to the next door site for evening entertainment, my children loved pentire family friendly and always felt the children where safe while running around will be back soon

User

Great site, spotlessly clean, staff are really helpful,

Would recommend to all.

Thank you for a great break

User

Another stay completed this weekend, great place to be , the facilities are superb and the staff are great. We will be back again later in the year !

User

We stayed at one of the few caravans this site have. The caravan was spacious, clean and warm. The site was very quiet. It's a little strange having the amenities and entertainment on the neighbouring site of penstowe manor. The penstowe manor is a short walk from the caravan. It's a lovely place with good food, friendly staff and children's entertainment that you could not fault. We will be back sometime soon. Thank you

User

Gave 3 only because if no problem n season nothing is open only swimming pool so had to walk to village nearby but if it's bad weather it seems miles with a 3 year old but shower and toilet facilities are good

User

Very disappointing to the extent we left a day early. We arrived checked in everything was fine, went to our caravan kids desperate for the Loo after a 3 hour car drive only to fine no toilet roll provided ! Basics ! No washing up liquid, a cloth nothing at all. I didn't expect a fridge of food but basics would help with so little on site. Never have I ever been to a camp site hotel and not been given toilet roll. Thankfully we were prepared, the caravan was ok clean and tidy but nothing special no DVD in the room as advertised and children brought their favourites to watch. I wouldn't say it reflected the write up given on the website. There wasn't anything onsite the 'Open all year round' sign refers to the enterance gates as everything else seems to be shut down until March. There were adverts for the manor, entertainment, restaurant but no mention of it not being open until March. False advertising for sure ! only today when leaving did I notice one advert on the back of the book we were handed at check in mentioned peak times etc.

To be fair we were looking forward to a few nights but the lack of facilities put a real dampener on it for us. So much so we packed up and came home.

What a Waste of money !
