Had a free cocktail 🍹 thanks to signing up for monthly email. Staff showed us to a really comfy seat with great views. Unfortunately they had run out of my favorite Mac n Cheese, but this forced me to try their mushroom burger 🍔 on the recommendation of the staff who also took time to find out what we fancied and also recommended my friends choice, which she really enjoyed. Glad I tried the mushroom burger as it was fab, and theirs skinny fries are the best I've had for a long time. Love going to Pitcher & Piano, well done guys!

User

Great place, food was lovely, and the staff are always very good, we are not from Southampton but always go there when we are in Southampton, I would highly recommend this great venue

User

Excellent service , great food. Was a nice experience

User

5 star service and five star food. Came down over the weekend for another Seadogz excersion. Discount given in P & P with a trip.

Friendly greeting from staff who remembered us. Lovely balcony overlooking marina to have a few drinks while waiting for OH and friends to come back.

We had a mix of burgers and small dishes selection. They were anything but small. Cod bites were huge. Came up quick and very hot. Clean plates all round.

Would of gone for the Sunday roast but sold out by the time the men came back. Not disappointed in what we had.

Decor trendy and comfortable, loos very clean, nice hand wash and hand cream in the ladies.

User

Went there had the £15 Presecco later ordered 7 meals. Was a bit slow but they came out and apologised and made good. Great service and sense of humour from Matt and Ash.

Would go back again.

User

Nice Martini and lovely place, we will go back most definitely.

User

Went there for lunch yesterday, second time of visiting. Both my boss and I had chilli and it's fair to say it wasn't the best. Bland and gave us both upset stomachs for the rest of the day. Will go for a drink their again BUT not for food.

User

Meal itself was lovely until the ill arrived. 4 of our party of 7 ordered the fish finger brioche which the menu stated came with skinny fries. When it arrived it looked great and to be fair it tasted lovely. A bit shocked when the bill came to see we had each been charged £3.50 for a side salad. At no point had adding a salad been mentioned when we ordered even though one of our party specifically asked if it came ‘with a salad garnish’ as she had an onion allergy. Even at this point the waitress never mentioned that any salad would be charged separately. When we questioned the bill the waitress actually stood at the table arguing with us and suggesting we were all lying! I would seriously suggest that some further staff training be done on clearly advising customers what they are actually being charged for. Also a few customer service lessons wouldn’t be a bad option as the waitresses attitude was appalling. Safe to say we won’t be back

User

Lovely setting, good food & staff - only downfall is waiting staff need to more attentive to tables as it is off putting having to get up from your table and hang around an empty bar waiting to be served

User

Had a lovely social evening with work colleages. Disappointed with the main course (sirloin steak). Steak was very fatty and under seasoned. Chips wère few and far between. One mushroom and one slice of tomato topped it off. Dessert was lovely (crumble and custard). Staff were very friendly and trying their very best on a busy evening on the run up to Christmas. Really enjoyed the secluded area for our work do. Probably would go back but not in a hurry. 😀

Friendly staff nice place

Food looked lovely but fish was watery chips mushy and onions tings blended in to one another

Good come far to fast if I'm honest no rhyme or reason just expected to wait longer

Bar staff friendly

User

Bloody freezing in there last night 6/2/18 they had the aircon on in the middle of winter moved twice but still cold I did wonder when we walked in why 2 ladies at the bar were still in their coates

User

Don't go here if you are in a hurry for a meal - glacial service at the bar, only a little better from the kitchen. The food was, well, variable in quality - some bits were really good, but the steak was fatty and overcooked for my taste. Chips were really nice though!

User

poorly run, the bar staff were drinking pints of larger outside while on duty. They joined in and found it funny when some really drunk people were being stupid, loud and overly annoying. It seemed more like a local back street pub than a water front bar!! we didn't feel comfortable there.

User

Went in for a late lunch with a friend on monday. Ordered sweet potato fries and the bruschetta. When food arrived, potatoes were obviously looking overcooked and quite a few of them burned to black. Immediately when I saw them I asked the waitress about it. The response was "This is the way we do them". After insisting that they are obviously cooked for too long and don't even look right, she only added "This is their natural colour" and immediately turned around. Had to stop her and ask for cutlery too. Very rude! When a customer is obviously not happy with the state of the food ever since the beginning, the most polite thing that you could say is if they would just like you to replace them - at least it can save you the argument and the bitter taste from the terrible experience. Seeing I will get no other response or any help at all, I just left it. Bruschetta was really dry and hard on the outside, really mushy on the inside - just terrible experience. Tomatoes had no flavour whatsoever. Decided not to bother after the rude way I was treated since the beginning and left. A couple of hours later I started getting stomach ache and feeling sick followed by vomiting by the end of the day. I could not have anything to eat after this "meal", just dreadful! Service was too rude, staff manners need sorting out!

Never going there again! Would like a response from the general manager or the person in charge!!

User

Well, where do I start? As a keen regular to this pub, I was keen for my family to experience that 'draw you in' feeling. My sister kindly booked a meal there for my 50th birthday, there were 12 of us dining so not a cheap day out. Credit where it's due the stafff were friendly on our arrival howerever our table was not ready, even though a weeks notice was given and the pub was empty ( a small inconvenience but ... hey? ) We then booked the Sunday roast in advance, so all still good at this stage ! Then the meal arrived, as much as I hate to say it ' OMG!! Frozen roast potatoes, frozen meat and to top it all frozen cabbage!!!??? WHY??? I would not have dished this inedible crap to a dog let alone humans!! The 'chef' wheats a white coat however, is not competent in cooking a roast dinner??? OMG this wasn't even worthy of a food hygiene certificate ... very disappointed !!!

User

Was observing people walk in and straight out as we had an overpriced pint sat out side .. went in to order a section of food for late lunch to be told they were only serving food to people that had booked.. Place was empty!? Off to Banana Wharf it was then!

User

Sunday (5th June) afternoon. Had some drinks outside which we paid for at the bar and then decided to go in for some food. There was only 2 other tables of people we could see in the restaurant and even with the people outside, it wasn't busy. Had our order taken, one dish was fine, mine had to be sent back as the salad had 2 ingredients missing and a huge bone in it. Dish came back, clearly the same one I had just sent to the kitchen, bone removed, one ingredient added on but still dressing missing. Nice waitress informed us it would be taken off the bill. Waited for 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. No one came. Asked two separate people for our bill and informed them of the salad being free. The gentleman continued to serve other people outside leaving us sitting there for another 15 minutes, then returned to tell us our bill had gone missing and they would need us to tell them what we had ordered. Bad food and even worse service. Won't be returning

User

Good food however, staff are extremely rude! Ordered our food individually and asked for two separate bowls of sweet potato fries! They brought them out in one bowl and said “we thought we’d just put it in one bowl” when I went to the bar to ask for another bowl the guy was extremely rude and shrugged his shoulders when I said that is wasn’t acceptable. They also over charged us for food... never coming here again! Anyone to looking to go to Ocean Village try Banana Wharf or Harbour on 6th.

Was observing people walk in and straight out as we had an overpriced pint sat out side .. went in to order a section of food for late lunch to be told they were only serving food to people that had booked.. Place was empty!? Off to Banana Wharf it was then!
