Established in 2004, Planet Sounds provides a safe and inspiring space for musicians and bands to hone their skills. Our location is ideally situated between Ocean Village and the town centre, as well as close to student halls.

Planet Sounds is all at street level (apart from 3 steps into the rooms) with plenty of street parking right outside, as well as a supermarket opposite us and the bars and restaurants of Oxford Street close by.

Space, sounds, food, drink, company…. you need nothing else!

OPENING TIMES –

Monday – Thursday :
2pm - 11pm
Friday :
7pm – 11pm
Saturday : Closed (for the time being)
Sunday (2 sessions) :
2pm - 6pm
6pm - 10pm

ROOM PRICES –

All rooms come with a basic drum kit, P. A and 2 Mics.
All evening and weekend sessions are 4hrs. Shorter slots are available during weekday times.
Minimum 2 hrs is ONLY £16.


BOOKINGS –

CALLING THE LANDLINE is the best way to book, that way we can look through the calendar without batting e-mails back and forth.
E-mails are fine of course…it just takes longer for you.
We do get busy, so if you can get a week or so ahead of yourself it gives you a better chance of getting the room you want. No massive block bookings though I’m afraid, normally the furthest we will go is 4 weeks in advance.

CANCELLATIONS –

Please try to give us as much notice as possible as we can normally fill the slots. The following charges will always apply (unless you have a note from your Mum and Dad and their Mums and Dads! ).

24 hrs or more notice - NO CHARGE
Within 24hrs – 50 % CHARGE
Any time after your booked time or a no show – 100% CHARGE
Any bookings you have after a no show will be scratched.
