Puddle Farm

Looking for volunteers!! Would you like to spend a couple of hours a week helping at the Puddle Farm community shop? We are looking for 1 or 2 people to do regular shifts inside the shop, ideally to cover our Thursday shift 2.30-5.30. Are you interested? Has anyone lost a dog? There has been a chocolate brown pointer with a few white freckles wandering around Lanlivery looking lost. Couldn't see a collar and couldn't get close to it. Last seen going past Eden Valley holiday park towards the A390.

Our Spring Fest Party kick started our fund raising goal. Our goal is a whopping £15,000 We are trying to raise funds to install an accessible toilet and sewage treatment plant. This will enable all community groups including those with disabilities, to visit the farm to take part in educational workshops. The party last Sunday raised £310!!! Super delighted that those people came out in the rain! Thank you to everyone and look out for more fun fund raising events that we will organise.

Delighted with a new product we have just had a delivery of! Cornish Mushroom Company beautiful organically grown mushrooms from right here in Cornwall. Freshly picked and ready for your plate!!

Henny, Pecky and Sparkle, our rescue hens are settling in nicely! They love exploring their new surroundings and have even come to check out our living room! Fresh Start for Hens is a great charity, giving hens like these a second chance. Anyone who is interested in keeping hens I would really recommend registering with this organisation. Their next drop off date is on their website. You can tell these girls are happy just look at some of these eggs they have laid!

We have some great prizes which can be won at the Tombola on Sunday at our Spring Fest party! Come along and buy a ticket...we are raising money to install an accessible toilet on the farm. This will allow us to run educational workshops with facilities to suit all community groups!

Organic Puddle Farm Purple Sprouting, fresh asparagus, rhubarb, cauliflower and cabbages all local. Yum just yum.

Open today, Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday as normal. Come in for fresh Cornish produce, freshly baked bread, ice creams and Trewithen Dairy clotted cream!

Farewell curly kale...you have served us well. A delicious winter, super food you have been, but now it's time to make way for rainbow carrots and rainbow radish!

All this lovely stuff awaits you from 8.30 tomorrow morning. We'll also have in freshly baked seeded granary and poppyseed loaves.

Delighted to have our first batch of wool from our Castlemilk Moorit sheep, a very rare breed. The wool has been processed by The Natural Fibre Company in Launceston. This is pure 100% wool, undyed but a beautiful natural brown colour. We have gone for a chunky yarn for double knit and we are so happy with the end product. It's super bouncy and soft. It's £11 for 100g ball and can be bought through our farm shop or through the facebook page. Postage is £3.50 for up to 8 balls.

Meet Henny, Pecky and Sparkle(!) our rescue hens. We picked them up today from a wonderful organisation called Fresh Start For Hens . They give people the opportunity to give a new home to these poor hens whose fate would be...well a bit grim really, because their commercial 'viability' is over. These hens are only 18 months old. They will spend a few days in this coop before they are able to free range around the orchard and behave like chickens should behave!
