We went there as a birthday celebration for our Mum we were looked after very well the meal was outstanding we all had different and everyone of them was very well cooked and served all staff were friendly and couldn't of done anymore to make our meal enjoyable we will be returning again.

User

Visited with 7 friends and family. I had the mixed grill and that was truly superb. The staff were very very good. Tended to our every need. The drinks are at a great price considering other Greene King pubs. The waiting times were great between courses. We all had 3 courses and nothing wrong with any of it. Really great place to visit. Will certainly visit again! Well done to Claire and Sam

User

The young lady behind the bar has exceptional customer service skills, very friendly place, we had a breakfast which was very good quality and would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

User

Just returned from The Queens Head. No complaints at all. Ribeye steaks were superb and ordered and cooked as suggested on the menu. It was my first visit for a number of years as I moved away from the area. Great food, good beer, friendly staff, prompt service. Just to top it all off a table near an open fire. Will certainly return to The Queens Head in the very near future.

I've been running monthly business networking meetings for Fabulous Women and Marvellous Men at The Queen's Head for over half a year now. This is my third venue and is by far the best. In particular the service that Joanne gives us is second to none. She is an absolute superstar who always looks after us, listens carefully to what we need to make the meeting run smoothly and is friendly, helpful and considerate. It's so great to know that I can rely on you to help me run a great meeting.

User

I was here last Friday evening. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Sharing Platter as a starter and the Curry Banquet for mains. Both were of excellent quality and to be honest, over generous in their quantity!

Our waiter was a little star!

I would definitely recommend this place for a great night out.

User

Having not been to this place before we thought we would give it a try .it was busy but got served straight away with a young man with glasses who was very professional and polite. we order drinks and food fish and chips for my self and ham eggs and chips for my partner but we was told there was a half an hour wait for food which was nice to be told but that was fine .only 15 minutes went by when our food arrived the fish and chips lovely and fresh and tasty and piping hot and my partners was the same . Two empty plates by the end and with change from £20 we were 2 happy well fed customers will definitely be back .

User

Fantastic evening. Staff were amazing as we were a rather large group and they managed to get the food all out together, and nothing was too much for them, and they served wverything with a smile - defiantly went the extra mile and would go again. Thank you to all the staff that made our family party a night to remember:)

My daughter and I, having just finished work, were looking for a place for lunch. The Queens Head was on our way home, so we popped in for a drink and a bite to eat. It was quiet, clean and bright, and were served quickly. The menus had a good selection of foods, my daughter had the Cajun chicken burger while I had the fish and chips. They were served quickly, it eas hot and tasty and we both really enjoyed it. A pleasant lunch.

User

I recently went here. Found the meal very nice for the price. Me, my daughter and other half all Ham, eggs and chips. The chips were lovely and crispy, just how I like them and ham was of good quality. For £4.99, you couldn't complain. The pub could do with a bit of freshening up. Shame the entrance isn't at the front. As the front of the pub doesn't look very appealing

User

Five of us went in for a meal after visiting marwell zoo it was fairly busy we where told that there would be a 45 minute wait we were hungry so we would wait . So we waited for how long I really know but my wife going ask how and it turned up so it did come I thought it was nice and the liked it to didn't have dessert wanted to get home.

User

The food was great the problem seemed to be lack of staff. Had to queue to get a table queue to order food and it took 40mins for pudding to turn up. 40 minutes to make up an ice cream pus is not rearly acceptable.

User

Not that busy when we arrived got informed the food could take up to an hour to serve, that was the starters and nearly another hour for the main to arrive this is not the first time this has taken ages to get food it has happened a couple of times now so I very much doubt we will go back there......

User

Sadly this place cannot handle bookings of 9 adults and 3 children. (Special Occasion)

Food came out barely warm and we waited over an hour between starter & main course. One Cook and one bar staff, despite the fact we had made booking at least 2 weeks beforehand. Extremely Disappointed.

User

Disappointed roast beef menu said oodles of veg and crispy potatoes . I had 8 cubes of carrot and the thinnest piece of broccoli , I had to ask for more veg gravy wasn't even mixed properly . No one asked if everything was ok this was at 12 pm only two tables in . Wouldn't recommend when there is a tiny carvery round the corner :-((

We have dined at the King Rufus Chandlers Ford and at the Queens Head for many years and have been very satisfied with food and service, recommending them to all our friends and family. BUT something bad has happened in the last year. The standard of food and service has dropped dramatically. Last week we dined at the King Rufus. We came away vowing never to visit there again. So, this week we tried the Queens Head. OH DEAR. I have just tried hard to chew through the festive beef rib roast. It was truly dreadful. Impossible to chew and swallow.

To be fair, this week and last week the costs of the meals were deducted from the bill. BUT that's not what it's about. I want to have a decent meal, and I don't mind paying for it. Both restaurants serve wine at a fair price, but the standard of the meals, both "special offer" and "a la carte" are awful. I took a look around at other tables. Most plates were left half eaten. Surely management should realise that something is wrong? We used to get a dining experience at a very fair price with service to match, especially at the King Rufus. Now I don't know where we will go. It won't be the Queens Head or the King Rufus until we have heard on the grapevine that things have changed. Customers are not stupid. If your standards drop then so will your takings.

User

Very bad service waiting over an hour and a half for food!! When it came, meat was tough and very small portion, disappointing and won't be returning or recommending

User

The food was poor and the service wasn’t very good either! The waitresses delivered our food to a different table and then realised it was for us! The waiting time was very slow and when we were all leaving, the waitresses were wondering around with lemon cheesecakes asking every table if they had ordered it. Very unorganised. When I went to the toilet, the whole bog roll was down the toilet!!!

User

Starter was cold after serving it to the wrong customer and putting it back in the kitchen for 5 minutes before giving it to us then waited for a hour and a half for our food but walked out before because it was taking the piss, only one person serving at the bar
