We kick off the new decade with this super one day course.
Printing from found objects.
Saturday 11th January 10am - 4:30pm... Tutor Sarah Mander Course fee £75
A fun and experimental day of printmaking with found objects. Utilizing all of those lovely textured and patterned wrapping papers hanging around after the festivities. We will use these textures and surfaces to make printing plates. We will then experiment with different inking and printing techniques to create a selection of expressive and individual prints.

We have just three spaces left on the Etching for beginners day - Inspired by the garden on Saturday 30th November. Course fee £75 We will make use of those seed heads and dried flower heads from your garden and use them as inspiration for an etching. We will explore three etching techniques, sugarlift, line and tonal etching, plate inking and printing. By the end of the day you will have produced a simple etched image and your first suite of etchings.

We run Photo transfer courses throughout the year Not heard of this technique? It's truly weird and miraculous. Take coloured prints from gummed photocopies. You can work with single colours, multi colours or even 4 colour separations for the brave. If you fancy having a go at this and creating some really interesting prints get in touch!

Drypoint Weekend - Printing from the city... Turn observational drawings into prints. Use a range of Drypoint mark-making tools onto metal plates to evoke the structure and atmosphere of the built environment.

Photo Transfer Weekend A remarkable printmaking technique like no other. Working with photocopies and wax crayon drawings and printing with transparent inks we will turn your ideas into multicoloured prints.

Drypoint Weekend - Printing from the City We have a weekend course coming up in November for those people who like to draw and take their inspiration from the built environment. This coming weekend 26th - 27th October we are running a Collagraph Landscapes weekend, we have a couple of spaces still available on this course. Come along and try this fun and expressive form of printmaking! This accessible and versatile technique is ideal for people who like working with collage materials. Learn about the suitability of imagery and materials for making Collagraphs. We will also cover plate-making, a range of inking techniques and printing. On 19 - 20 October we are running a letterpress weekend just for printing with Woodtype. It's a fun way to make a statement with our large selection of woodtype. We'll be over printing using transparent colours and some 'edge of the seat lock ups'. A day full of weird and wonderful terminology and some great prints and posters to go home with.

We’ve had several people ask us to run another Collagraph course, so we have this weekend course coming up in October. We will use Landscapes and Seascapes as inspiration. We will explore appropriate materials for making collagraph printing plates, plate making, and a range of inking and printing techniques. The aim is that you will leave this course having enjoyed a weekend of learning a new printmaking technique and armed with a new set of skills and a lovely suite of prints.
