About Reuse Network

Reuse Network supports more than 200 reuse charities across the UK to help them alleviate poverty, reduce waste and tackle climate change.

Reuse Network Description

Did you know that there are over 13 million people in the UK today living in poverty?
AND
Did you know 10 million household items are sent to landfill every year. 3 million of these items could be re-used by people in crisis.

We, the Furniture Re-use Network (FRN) work with over 200 re-use charities helping them to reach as many vulnerable people in crisis whilst reducing waste at the same time.
How does it work? It’s so simple. Quality household items (from your washing machine and freezer through to beds and sofas) are donated by you. These household items are given for free to people in urgent need or sold at a very low cost. As well as giving a family or household hope and a helping hand when they desperately need, we are making sure that perfectly good furniture is not being thrown away.

How can you help?
Don’t immediately throw you unwanted furniture, white goods (washing machines, fridge freezers), or clothes or pots and pans away. Ask yourself – ‘can they be re-used?’ and if they can, give us a shout. We’ll find your nearest re-use charity, and they will collect larger items for FREE! (Saves you wheeling that sofa down the street. )

And if you find yourself needing some furniture, pop down to your local re-use charity to see what they have in store. It’ll be quality furniture for cheap.

For more information and to find your nearest reuse charity visit our website www. frn.org. uk /donate or call 0117 954 3578.
(All furniture made from textiles must have a fire retardant label attached to be re-used. )

Supporting our member charities is our top priority for Reuse Network at this difficult time. Many will be calling for donations and support from the general public to help survive. The SOFA Project have put together a fundraiser, please support them if you can!

Fantastic to meet the team at Caring in Bristol today and hand over a £500 cheque that we won in the Kudos Software predictive quiz. Caring in Bristol are a homeless charity, who work in imaginative and creative ways to support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. They have numerous projects in the community to help tackle homelessness and support people on their journey to permanent housing. Of course, once those people do have a home, that is when our local Reuse Network members come in, to support them to access household items. Thank you Kudos! #homlessnesscharity #reuse #supportyourcommunity #donation #quiz #caringinbristol #bristolcharity

Sofas, white goods, paint, and flat-pack furniture are just some of the items our members re-use. Teams of staff and volunteers work hard every day to divert these valuable household items from landfill to sell on at low-cost.
