Next week we will be celebrating World Book Day 📖. All children will be participating in activities related to our favourite stories throughout the week. We invite all attending children to join the staff in dressing up as their favourite character on Thursday 7th March 2019.
We look forward to seeing all your fantastic costumes 😀

As the Met Office have officially issued an Amber warning for this area we have had several phone calls questioning whether we will be opening tomorrow. Each nursery within the Day Nursery group will always endeavor to remain open for as long as possible through difficult weather conditions.
The Nursery will be forced to close if...….
❄️The nursery building and or local roads are completely inaccessible... ❄️A significant number of nursery staff are unable to travel to and from work safely ❄️If there is a failure to the nursery heating system
We have got our fingers crossed that if any there will merely be a light flurry of snow for us all to enjoy tomorrow. However if there appears to have been a heavy snow fall please check your parent mail and/or our Facebook page for any further updates.

Thank you to everyone that joined us for our Christmas Fair last Saturday. We all had a fantastic time and hope you did too :-)

Tomorrow we will be supporting children in need by holding a Onesie and Pyjama day We encourage all staff and children to come to nursery in their favourite PJ's and slippers ready for lots of fun. The children will be taking part in various activities throughout the day including baking, sensory play and even having their faces painted. Although donations are not compulsory we will have a donation pot in each room should you wish to give to make a donation. Any small change would be greatly appreciated as every penny counts :-)

Remember today is our bake sale between 7:45 and 9:00am and 5:00 and 6:00pm
We hope to see you there. Every penny counts 😀

Another fantastic year of pumpkins here are just some of the those that were entered into our competition :-)

Don't forget our annual pumpkin carving competition will take place next Wednesday 31st October.
The competition is open to everyone and pumpkins can be brought into the nursery from Monday 29th October. All entries will be lit on Wednesday 31st October at 4:30pm for everyone to see when collecting your children or if you just want to pop down and have a look :-)

Macmillan Cake Sale on Thursday 25th October
We will be holding a cake sale between 7:45 and 9:00am and 5:00 and 6:00pm to help raise money for Cancer support.
If you would like to donate baked goods for the sale then please bring any donations in by Wednesday 24th October. All donations would be greatly appreciated 😋
... The sale will be held in our Baby garden so please remember to stop by to grab something yummy for your journey.

As we are still on Amber Alert according to BBC weather we wanted to make parents aware of the following......
At the Nursery we are ready to respond to all weather conditions. We always aim to keep the nursery open, however an adverse weather forecast means we need to keep our plans under constant review.
... We will only close the nursery if....
☃️ It is deemed unsafe for parents, children and or staff to travel to the nursery
☃️ Access to the nursery is deemed dangerous
☃️ There is a risk of children and staff being stranded at the nursery

We will be celebrating world book day throughout next week with various activities based on our children's favourite books.
