Went on one of your boats yesterday for my friends 40th birthday. Had an absolute amazing day! Loved every minute! All staff & lock volunteers were so friendly & helpful � highly recommend booking with this wonderful narrowboat company. Def coming back with my family. Thank you �

Well. It was my 60th birthday treat from my other half and my daughter my mum.

It was a lively day with few other close friends over the Kennett and Avon canal .

We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day (surprisingly in late October ) we throughly enjoyed every moment of it. Staff at Sally Narrowboats were very helpful. John our skipper was lovely. Although we were able to navigate ourselves but We preferred a skipper with us. Plenty of various Narrowboats hiring options here. Daily weekly hiring arrangements. We are already planning to have boating holiday next year after this excellent relaxing experience.

We hired Martha for a long weekend at the beginning of March. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side and we had snow for most of our holiday. The boat had very good central heating so thankfully we weren’t cold when inside! On the whole we loved our weekend away on the narrowboat and Sally narrowboats were more than accommodating. The boat was well equipped with what you would need and the handbook is very handy for info on refilling the boat with water, nearby pubs etc. I left a charger on the boat and called Sally narrowboats who very kindly posted it to me at no charge. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful time on day boat Sally. We were lucky with the weather and the scenery is beautiful, but the friendly staff and well equipped boat ensured the day went really smoothly and was loved by everyone in our party, aged 12 to 75. We will definitely be back for another day and are considering a short break too.

We had a lovely day yesterday, it was a surprise 70th birthday present for my mum and we thoroughly enjoyed it � and it kept the all the kids engaged and excited (even the BIG ones �) with the locks and swingbridges ...



It was a struggle to find something that we'd never experienced together as family before and this was just the ticket!! ... staff were easy to talk to and very helpful and friendly

We booked Rachel for a weekend but wish it had been a fortnight. The Sally team were super friendly and the handover process was slick and efficient. On the boat, everything we needed was provided, it was clean and well equipped. Needless to say we will be booking again. Thank you.



If I can give a little website feedback I’d say this: 1. make it possible to see boat details before the booking screen. 2. Provide a list of what’s included on board (it’ll save me from packing soap and kitchen roll)!

This was the first time we hired a canal boat, and we all enjoyed every minute. cant thank you enough for such an amazing time. We felt a bit nervous at first but was made to feel at ease and everybody was so friendly and helpful. A massive thank you to you all x will definitely be back xx can not recommend sally narrowboats enough ��

Our first adventure aboard the boat Emily Katherine with Grandad & daddy playing captain for the day and the children being skippers (grandma & mummy did the hard work at the locks 😉) - what an amazing family day out ! The instructions we were given gave us confidence to navigate the locks and feel safe as we headed off towards bath, we almost got to Dundas after stopping for a picnic and a stop off at the cross guns for a drink. The boat is well equipped with kitchen essentials including a hob, kettle and fridge etc. Will definitely be back again as everyone had a great time.

Our boat “Lilly” was really well fitted out. Great layout, with everything we needed in very good condition. For complete novices the instruction we had appeared minimal, but in reality we managed really well. Just have to take everything SLOW! Had a great time.

My new wife Miriam and I hired a Sally Narrow Boat as part of our honeymoon over the past couple of weeks.

We would like to thank Sally Narrow Boats and the team there for a great trip from start to finish.

They gave a lovely surprise on our arrival with a thoughtful wedding gift of flowers, balloons and a small gift which came in handy on our trip.

They boat we used Leah, was well maintained and in perfect condition. Everything we could need on our trip was there and we were well informed on how to use and operate the boat and its facilities, plus a great user guide and map file on board.

Lovely staff and service in getting us on our way.

Boat was well equipped so we could enjoy the relaxed pace and a few bubbles on the water.

Definitely looking at a booking with the family and the dogs sometime soon.

Me and the family had a day out on the canal in memory of our late dad, a Really nice boat for a day trip, had a fantastic day out, very friendly staff even though we were half an hour late back due to a queue at the lock they were still understanding and happy to welcome us back with smiles � will definitely book again. Xx

Had a great time on 'Emily Katherine' the day hire boat - celebrating my fathers 65th birthday, and retirement! Having never been on a narrow boat before, the initial training was concise, and helpful, we decided to go towards Bath, as it only has one Lock to contend with, which we managed very well, but you do need to remember training!!( although most other boat owners are very helpful). We managed to get to just south of Claverton before heading back, with a hours stop off on way back for lunch. A great day to spend time with the family! Perfectly safe for kids( life jackets provided), and a well trained dog!!

Had a fantastic weekend on the boat, all the staff we met we're brilliant, I would definitely recommend Sally narrow boats

As a seasoned boat captain I thought that "narrowboats" would bore the peg leg off me but it wasn't the case, I and all of my guests thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The boat was well maintained and functioned without a problem, thanks to the professional team at "Sally Narrowboats"

There was never a dull moment taking in the beautiful scenery on the Kennet and Avon canal. Thank you for everything, and you haven't seen the last of me.

A brilliant day out for mum and dads 60th wedding anniversary ..... Much better than a gold clock. Would highly recommend for making memories. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a special day �

Hired Martha for a short Monday to Friday break and they sent the boat out with faults like a toilet door that you could not lock and a sink waste that would not pop up plus other small faults. The boatyard do not come out to such repairs so expect you on a short visit to go back to boatyard to have repaired. Mentioned these points on our return but no real appreciation to have pointed out these bits so to save another family suffering.
