Hello all face book supporters !💛.Please consider I am the only cook and spend on average 14 hours a day every day at the moment in the kitchen it's REALLY so hot in there and makes me feel very unwell!!!(I do know that's not your problem)BUT If you haven't reserved a table before leaving to come to sams Please phone 01329832213 to check on availability and how long food service is taking . I really can't cope anymore with the sudden influx of food requirements and don't wan...t to disappoint by turning people away or having you wait so long for your food and desserts !! so at least you won't have a wasted journey and apologize that I can not manage more. "But the pub is empty you may think ? "did you look out in the garden to see how busy it is ....I am looking for extra help but being in the area we are it's difficult to find a reliable person .Thank you for any support and consideration it's very much appreciated all it takes is a phone call . cannot express enough how good this place was. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff very polite and friendly. Would recommend coming here whenever near here. I might suggest you book a table as its incredibly busy but my god its worth it. 10/10

Yesterday was our 2nd visit and we brought along 5 other family members. All our meals were really good and the portions are large! The chips are fantastic! We will be returning soon.

Wow what a meal here! We all had the roast beef, the food was amazing, and so much of it! The pub has friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere here in the family dining area. Will definitely visit again to try the main menu which looks an extensive selection of choice!

Well where do i start with this place come here quite frequently and i must say what a warm cozy inviting and lovely little pub all the staff are very friendly and the food is top notch and very generous portion sizes enjoyed food every time here and drinks and is very generously piced too cant wait for summer time when we can go in the garden there with the kids.

We visited the Samuels Rest on Tuesday as a family of 6 including 2 vegetarians and had a wonderful evening with first class food, drinks and service and all at very reasonable prices

We go out of our way to eat here , it's a proper pub grub and all round nice pub great portions too �what's not to like. The staff are always welcoming too

Very welcoming staff. Plenty of toys & books to keep the children entertained. The food is fantastic. You get good quality home cooked food with very generous portions. There is also a good selection of ales and larger's on offer.



There is a large garden with swings, trampolines and slide for little ones to burn off their energy.



I would recommend this pub to anyone and will definitely return.

The best pub in the local area, great food, great music, great staff.

If you have an issue on your food or drink they more than happy to make sure you are happy.

So when asked how things are be honest with them.

Don't use social media as a way to get your issues out talk to people.

Stopped by for mid week drink and lunch. Quite small country pub, lovely surroundings well attended so knew it must have something going for it. Was not disapointed. The food was freshly cooked and of large proportions. Was almost embarrassed by the amount I couldn't get through. Was even supplied with a doggie bag to take some home. Great staff and an owner/chef that works miracles with the small kitchen area that she has. Well done.

Lovely pub with atmosphere and charm. Had lunch with girlfriend to celebrate her birthday today. We were very well looked after by rhe lovely Rohaise; the food was quick, hot and plentiful. We voted the sticky toffee pudding the best ever..but don't tell anyone, it's our secret and there needs to be some left for our next visit :-)

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. The meals are cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Will be returning very soon.

Friendly, helpful staff and really good lasagne.. A good sized plate of food.

Food was amazing, so nicely placed onto the plate it looked like a master piece, after ordering steak and taking a bite it was so nice, it melted in my mouth, definitely a must go restaurant couldn’t have had better service and respect given to me throughout the night.

First time here was hoping for the fish pie that was advertised on facebook but sundays is roast only so will have to come back for pie x just to say the roast was best i have had. Any one who knows me knows im a fussy eater and this food was tasty and so much of it, was gutted i was stuffed as puddings looked amazing. Definately recommend !!

First class grub , large portions of quality food - varied menue great selection of beers.
