About Scratch
We help individuals and families facing hardship and disadvantage by providing furniture and other items and by offering volunteering opportunities
Scratch Description
SCRATCH (Southampton City and Region Action to Combat Hardship) was formed on 1 October 1999, to manage the social action projects initiated by the founding charity Southampton City Mission.
The memorandum and articles of the company state its purpose as: -
The relief of the effects of poverty for individuals and families
in the city of Southampton and Central Southern Hampshire.
It is our intention, through various social initiatives, to respond to identified practical needs, providing relief for people regardless of
age, status or background.

We are looking for musicians for our 20th anniversary celebration – can you help?
Our shop in East Street how has a large range of toys as well as the usual books and bric-a-brac. We also have some great Easter Gifts – please pop in and see everything that we have available. We are open weekdays 10am to 4pm.

Our shop in New Milton based at 85 Station Road will now be open on Saturdays 10am to 4pm, starting tomorrow.
We currently have a shortage of dinner plates, bowls, jugs, tin openers, wooden spoons and glasses. If you have any you no longer need, could you please drop them off to us at 33 Mount Pleasant Industrial Estate, Southampton, SO14 0SP, weekdays between 9am and 4.30pm. Thanks so much.
