Scrubby Nelly Description
Scrubby Nelly Is born out of a love for all things vintage, wether it be clothes, jewellery, collectables or up cycled furniture.
There is a story behind the name, it comes from a family friend who as a child had servants in the house. Every Christmas the family served dinner to the servants and when Nelly the maid was asked what she would like for pudding, she replied "a bit of everything". So there is where Scrubby Nelly was born, a bit of everything, just like our shop.

The new shop is now open in the Wilton Shopping Village. It's called Chalk and Chase. Not sure the Facebook page is operational yet but do drop in for a nosey. Terri's Barn is now stocking the award winning Frenchic chalk and mineral furniture paint. Totally VOC free, great range of colours, excellent coverage and a dream to use.
Well, Friday was a big day for us all at Scrubby Nelly. Sharon has retired and the doors closed on SN for the final time. We have had lots of good times and want to say a big big thank you to all our customers.
After being closed a few days for a refurb the doors will open again Friday 7th with new management and be called Chalk and Chase.
The good news is that Sharon (Design Interiors) and Terri (Terri's Barn) Claire Dimitri, Lorraine, Nikki and Sue are all staying.
... In addition the new owners bring a mix of driftwood crafts, Interior homewares and up cycled garden and home goodies.
Terri's Barn will also be selling Frenchic Furniture paint and offering paint workshops. I hope you will join me in wishing the new owners every success with their new venture and look out for their new Facebook page soon.

Great afternoon of entertainment at the Wilton Shopping Village today. It's not too late to pop down and listen the the wonderful live music.
Introducing Claire Demetri our newest trader at Scrubby Nelly. Claire makes a range of fused glass products from pictures to fridge magnets and cake stands to brooches. Come in and have a browse. You are sure to be impressed.
The second of our featured traders needs no introduction. Design Interiors owned and run by one of the founding members of Scrubby Nelly who now has overall responsibility for the shop. Sharon has many years of interior design knowledge and still takes on commission jobs for businesses and private houses. She is currently working on a hotel and a pub which is being converted to residential use. In Sharon's shop you will find fabrics by the metre or to order, furniture, object d'art, paintings and trinkets to amuse. You will find her in the shop mainly Saturdays and Mondays but often found in every other day as well. Next time you're in introduce yourselves.
Introducing one of our new traders at Scrubby Nelly. Nikki and Sue sell a fab range of pretty useful and decorative items including kitchenalia, Shelley and other China, late Victorian glass, furniture, vintage tablecloths, cushions and throws as well as handmade cake cutters for cake making and clay. Most items are vintage with a few newer pieces of jewellery and pictures. Nikki and Sue are interested to buy if you have anything ypuay think suitable. Please introduce yourselves to them next time you are in shop on a Tuesday when you will find one of them manning the till.
Long time no posts. Scrubby Nelly are still going strong and can be found up the steps in the Historic Courtyard at the Wilton Shopping Village. A few changes and a downsize to one floor now (WSV needed the second floor for office space). Will start posting again regularly going forward. Current traders are: Design Interiors with furniture, fabrics, gifts, objet d'art and interior design. JeWelled with handmade jewellery, fashion scarves, gifts and accessories. Lorraine wi...th a range of good quality China. Nikki and Sue with vintage curios, pictures, kitchenalia and a whole lot more. Claire with a fab range of glass homeware and gifts .... and lastly Terri's Barn with Shabby Chic furniture, bric a brac and decorative plaques.
