Storm coming...with the present forecast the lake path will unfortunately be closed later. The dog field will still be accessible. Once the winds have dropped the path will be checked for damage and wind blown trees and any remedial works will be undertaken before the path will be reopened.

We were on the field as there was a problem with our booking and they had us down for a hardstanding in a tent. We were told just go anywhere...We were a bit lost which slope was best. Weather not too good. Toilets and showers could have been better or cleaner/ drier. more toilet paper stocks. Cafe not open in the morning for breakfast as we expected. Not open as late as expected. We missed it as we were coming and going.Somehow we had a miserable but enjoyable week. We met some lovely people. Wanted to fish but only managed once because we kept going off site and spent time away. We love the place but last year our week wasn't the best. We left a day early.

User

My wife, 8 year old son and I had a paddle boarding session this weekend and absolutely loved it. Becks the instructor was excellent and made us all feel very comfortable and made it such fun. We learnt that you can camp there as well so we’ll be back soon to spend a night there.

User

Just back from a weekend camping in one of the bell tents with my 3 and 6 year old. Loved it! So much to do on and around the lake, the site was clean and quiet. The tent and beds were great. Everyone we met were so kind and helpful. Back in August for some more water sports! Thank you

User

Just awesome. Only downside is there is not much around outside of the complex. But for a fun get away from everything, this place is perfect.

User

Had a lovely relaxing break despite the British summer weather! Was amazed to find a massive field designated for exercising your dog right next to the camping field and in front of the lake! I would suggest that maybe the gateway could be built up so dogs cannot slip underneath as mine did, luckily as she stood staring longingly at the lake she was good enough to take note of my stern no from across the field! phew!

User

Had a great time as always. Staff very helpful and friendly, tearoom OK (we always take a picnic), and not too busy. I suspect that SW Water don't actually advertise that much because for such a great resource, it never is really busy. Suits us very well! Will be camping again there in August. I could happily spend most of the summer there.

User

Had a great experience at the SUP taster session on Tuesday. Water was warm fortunately as i ended up in it a few times! Great tuition and overall experience. Cafe was good too and worth a visit for welcome cuppa.

Great place to spend a few hours.

User

Great day! Kids loved the high ropes and us parents loved seeing the children working together. Then stand up paddle boarding for the whole family in liquid sun. We will be back soon!

User

Fusion Cycles will be displaying their fantastic range of electric bikes as part of the demo day being held here on Saturday the 18th May . You will be able to try a bike and ride it around the lake. If you haven't had a go an electric bike or reckon that the hills of Cornwall prohibit you from cycling then please come and see us on Saturday. You will love it !

User

Fantastic cafe with lovely food and friendly helpful staff also great for walking the dog a great day out and a must if you're here on holiday

User

Children attended a two hour introduction to sailing course. George, their instructor couldn't have been better! His teaching skills were awesome, he had a wonderful ability to calm nerves and deal with sibling bickering! We honestly couldn't have asked for more - highly recommend this activity 👍

User

Brilliant 3 nights camping here. Friendly staff, great food and lovely scenery plus walks from site. Had a go at kayaking which was fun. Lots to watch from the tent field and great farm shop nearby.

User

Amazing day out! For all ages and abilities. Lovely staff and great space for adventure. I went with 2 other girls, 2 of us had no idea how to even row a boat and we ended up having the best time. Haven't laughed like that in a long time, definitely recommend it!

User

Lovely spot. We stayed in the overflow field which does have a slope but it wasn't too bad if you're prepared. Fantastic that there was an exercise area for dogs but could do with signs to shut the gates! The walk around the lake isn't too long and pram friendly. The facilities were good (shower and toilets were lovely and warm!) however they didn't seem to get cleaned often. Maybe once in the 5 days we were there! Compared to stithians who cleaned every evening. Also it would have been good for a heads up that it was midge season... it was awful until we got some repellent! I'd enquired about fishing for my 11 year old hoping for him to do some while we were there. The guy on the phone was very helpful but neglected to highlight it was only fly fishing and with my non fishing knowledge (which I thought I'd made apparent!) it's not something I'd spotted on the website so felt a bit let down there. Bargain camping though in an idyllic setting.

User

It’s ok during the seasons but can be dull in Winter and late Autumn when the Cafe is closed. It really needs much more investment in facilities and entertainment to such a good setting. Currently a wasted opportunity.

User

Had a great weekend away here, lovely big bell tent for us to stay in and at a very good price! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shame about the weather that particular weekend as it made it difficult to do the water activities but still a great family time away. Will definitely be returning!!

User

Pitches are very close together so you can hear everything going on in the next tent. Our pitch also had dog mess on it which we had to clean up before pitching. Would have been better being in the overflow field but were told is was fully booked even tho it was empty all week.

User

Kids loved it here and their stay over night on the campsite. Staff were very helpful and happy to help. Food was fantastic and best chips I've had in ages. But one massive down side for me was the toilets. We arrived at 1pm and left at 3pm the next day and the ladies toilets by the camping area were not cleaned. One toilet had poo marks around the toilet when we arrived and was still there when we left. As a person with slight OCD this ruind my experience. But overall very good and will return on the hope of cleaner toilets.

User

I mainly go for the walk around the reservoir with my wife and our dog, it is a good way to stretch the legs, do not normally use any of the amenities on site, car park charges reasonable
