Huge thanks to the many generous people and businesses who donated to the Charity Auction and to the successful bidders. Thank you too to Bob and Steve for their sterling work in organising such a brilliant auction.
Through all these efforts £3000 has been raised for Bloodwise, the charity researching into blood cancers and supporting affected people and families.
If you were a successful bidder and either were not there on the day or didn’t have the cash on you, please come into the Tap during our normal opening hours from Tues 21st August to make payment and collect the paperwork for your lot.

Whenever I'm down visiting family I love popping in here. Great staff, great customers and most importantly great beer!

User

What an excellent establishment, with quirks! Top quality beer, very welcoming. Love the idea of no mobile phones! Would definitely recommend to a real ale lover, well worth a visit.

User

What a great evening. The beer was superb and the pizza was delicious. We even got treated to a brewery tour. Thank you, we'll be back very soon

User

Went on tour today. Brilliant time, could not be better. Many thanks.

User

The venue has a great atmosphere and the ales have been consistently great. The only downside is that I live in Plymouth, otherwise I'd be in there all the time. Probably for the best then :)

User

The best beer in a wonderful atmosphere with the friendliest people.

User

The best bar serving the best pint this side of The Urals - no doubt about it!

User

Sixpenny beers are top, not mucked about with and consistently good. The Tap has the atmosphere of somewhere that has been around for years. Old fashioned front room pub welcome.

We'll be back!

User

Off the beaten track, but well worth searching out for a decent pint and peaceful location. Dog friendly and nice "locals" ambience. Slap on the sun cream in the summer as stable yard and outside seating is south facing!

User

Nice little tucked away brewery with a good tap room serving 4 cask ales along with a selection of bottled beers

Also spot the BBC effects department relics!

Mr Blobby’s head and the gunge tank from Noel’s house party and the front section of Dr Who’s Tardis!

User

Lovely fun little oasis of deliciousness! And Friday's pizza is gorgeous.... see you again..... maybe on Wednesday for fish! Husband and brother raving about the beautiful beer.....

User

If you love beer (craft beer, real ale, whatever) this is the place to find it.

Brewed about thirty feet from where it’s served, there are usually four or five varieties to suit most palates.

The tap room is a cosy, somewhat quirky bar, with a bar billiards table and a ferocious penalty system for uttering certain forbidden words.

Come and find out out what they are!

User

Friendly, welcoming, staff. Great Ale!!!

Peaceful, out of city, chilling and chatting in beautiful rural setting.

Great O'Hagans sausages too -added bonus

User

Friendly brewery and bar. First rate selection of ales. Not too extreme like some craft ales can be either. The best is excellent, smooth and nice body for its strengh as is the Gold. The IPA is suberb reminding me of the great Worthington's White Shield and the seasonal Rushmore a refreshing summer beer which surprised me, cleaner taste and less round than the Gold, less body but very drinkable with great flavours. Finally getting a taste for hoppier styled beers! Take-away beer and artisan bakery. What is not to like!

User

Excellent beer, lovely surrounding, friendly people, fun.

User

User

User

A whole different experience, good company, good food from the bakery and above all great beer excellent!
