When only the best will do...

Task: complete removal of 2 wildly overgrown and unbalanced Sycamores in a busy urban environment. Heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic, directly under the first tree, meant the job needed to be completed as efficiently as possible. Once both of the condemned trees had been thoroughly checked for any nesting activity, we set to work... Solution: Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP, or Cherry Picker). Our go-to access specialist is Luke Cole Roofing (LCR). The job was not only completed much more quickly than standard climb and dismantle techniques would allow, it was also considerably safer for staff and the general public. Result: Both trees down. This Ash was suffering from the early stages of Chalara Fraxinea (Ash dieback). It posed a very real threat to the stables and their equine occupants if it were to fail! Following a thorough check for active bird nests, it’s was felled with absolute precision. Once it was down, further inspection of the trunk revealed extensive rot of the heartwood. Complete removal is always a last resort, but unfortunately it’s the only option sometimes.
