About Small Bar Bristol
Pouring great beer since 2013.
Small Bar Bristol Description
What’s Small Bar? Firstly we're a craft beer bar. Our passion is to provide Bristol with the very best beers that the UK has to offer, and provide a bar team who are passionate, approachable and engaging. Further to this we recognise that not everyone is into beer and that some folk’s passions are different to ours. We aim to, we hope, offer a selection of all drinks and foods which will incite interest and excitement into whoever walks through our door!
What’s the name all about? Small Bar is named to reflect the makers of the products we aim to represent. Small companies, focused on making their product the best it possibly can be. The name also tells a different story however. It acts as a reminder to the people running the business of the motivations and aims set out when the bar was founded. Small Bar is a platform to showcase the best of the independents. We believe that the cornerstone of providing a great environment for you to enjoy, is to focus on quality of product and quality of service first, and the size of our profit margin second. The bar is a free of tie premises who’s driving motivation is to stay small, to stay independent, and to show that to be great, you don’t have to be big!

We have @Stillwater_Art x @ActionBronson's #7000 on tap and in cans! Really nicely balanced DDH sour with muscat grapes at a very modest 4.5% (5% in cans). Git doon. #fuckthatsdelicious

Superb bar. Best selection of beers I have ever seen in the UK. Surprisingly there were even Lambic and Geuze from Belgium. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too.
Literally love this place. It's all about the beer, and that is only ever a good thing. Arguably the the jewel of the beermuda triangle.
Just had 2 day visit to Bristol - great city, loved it & had a great time.......... Favourite bar was / is definitely Small Bar - it is awesome & has great beer & food loved it
Great place. Bar staff were really helpful and made some great recommendations on ales
Great bar all year round but their new years eve party was amazing. Really chilled and well organised night with brilliant food, amazing beers and wonderful atmosphere with music.
Excellent bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle with some fantastic IPAs on tap.
Awesome staff, beer killed us!
An excellent range of well kept beers! Very good atmosphere and decor! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff! What more do you want?
Amazing staff, the best beers you can find in Bristol and the food is filthy filthy goodness.
A lovely little Bristol gem! Very happy to find they had a very tasty, yet unusual porter available. Top that with a quiet, friendly atmosphere. Would recommend!
A big place, with big choice, big helpful and big atmosphere. A small bar with a big thumbs up!
Small glasses, wide range.
My wife and I was visiting the city and found this little gem of a pub. Lots of real ale and ciders to choose from. Definitely worth a visit.
Lived in Bristol all my life, had an hour to kill whilst the wife shopped discovered these little gem of a pub! Quiet with very decent beer and friendly staff, no sports or warm lager in sight!
Great beer and the Barman knew the beers well. Taster offered if you are unsure. Didn't eat food so only 4 stars. Will definitely return next time in Bristol.
It's small, it's a bar and it's very expensive. More of a place to be seen than a bar - even though the beer is excellent. The pricing (at well over £5 a pint) helps with the perceived exclusivity.
It's a meeting place that also serves beer. I think that sums it up.
Drink selection was good, food, a massive let down, the chilli dog was far to over spiced and wasn't the slightest resemblance to chilli con carne. More like pulled beef. Shame though as place was very welcoming
I was very disappointed to find only 2 cask ales on draft last night, one of which was a stout, and the other an amber malty ale.
I'd asked for a pale/IPA style cask, and was told that craft breweries were mainly supplying keg ales these days by the American/Canadian sounding barman (who admitted it was his first shift in the bar).
There was around 15 draft keg beers on tap, so why only 2 cask ales, one of which is a stout, is beyond belief in a bar which used to pride itself on being an independent real ale pub?
Disappointed to say l'll not be back in a hurry!
Do not usually comment on this sort of thing, but feel that I have to, £4.10 for half of beer, I personally think this is utterly disgraceful!!!! I was actually gobsmacked!!!!
