We travelled quite a distance to this store for a certain product on arrival we were very impressed as the two members of staff that delt with us went above & beyond to help us and all members of staff we came across were very helpful the staff we came across in this branch are a credit to the company

Brought a space scooter for my daughters birthday which broke after just a few months. The store mechanic spent ages changing the part but it broke the new part so replaced the scooter. Fantastic customer service and I have a happy little girl. Xx many thanks to you all .

Always have what we want in stock and lovely friendly staff......music a tad loud in shop yesterday....but we love Disney songs so just sang along 🤗

No staff to help with the selection of a car seat and too many unruly urchins swaning around screeching and wailing because they cant get the latest toy.



Smyths - get a few more staff please.

Well Smyths, extremely disappointed in barbie camper van purchased (nearly £80) - initially one very excited daughter until the box was opened - very dirty, stickers fallng off, basically looks pre-owned. She's refusing to play with it and it's Christmas Day. We will of course be returning as soon as possible so please ensure you have a NEW one in stock.

Saturday, no tills open apart from customer service desk with only one lady serving and a long queue. With a 9 month old and 3 year old getting impatient I had to ditch what I was going to buy and leave. What's more annoying is that there were staff members stood chatting further down the shop.

Rude incompetent duty manager had receipt box and toy only purchased 2 days before paint is peeling of only wanted exchange as faulty was told that’s normal beware as I purchased toys for xmas which I have spent over 200 pounds which I will be taking all back cheltenham branch and I’m taking this further

My wife visited recently when the car park was virtually empty. She parked very slightly across a white line and popped in the shop for 10 minutes. On return an employee supposedly from UK Parking Control was delighting in issuing a parking charge. We hope that Smyths enjoy their unearned £60 bonus from us as we certainly won't be returning and will be telling our friends to avoid this miserable little shop too. Not a single smile or friendly word from any member of staff in the shop either. This is not how I remember toy shops from my youth (and I'm not THAT old!)

My partner just reserved online and bought a PS4. When he picked it up it was used, not new as described. Got £20 off but when he got it home a cable was missing and it kept turning itself off. Receipt given only shows £20 refund, not full receipt of purchase.

Lots of choice !

Customer service was shocking .. lady on the till didn't even give eye tact or say please or thank uou.

Answered the phone the same time as serving as well

I purchased a boys bicycle for my grandsons birthday .. purchased on 9th December in Cheltenham store! Today 11th decided to get the bike put together and on opening box the bike was completely different and clearly used as scratched and grass marks on!

Immediately returned to Cheltenham store where we were told by the manager there would be no refund or replacement bicycle!

Manager told us that this was their box but inside it was a toys r us bike! He said ring customer services but strongly implied we had taken out new bike and replaced with this old bike expecting a refund!

After promising my grandson this bicycle we purchased the correct bike and asked smyths to check contents

We paid another £99 to avoid disappointment to my grandson but was devastated of losing £99 and have a scrap bike I'm unable to even sell second hand to replace lost money!

Clearly this means there are dodgy staff in these store rooms because it was cleverly resealed on sale!

Anyone would be completely stupid to actually take new bike replace with an old tatty bike and return to store expecting a replacement or refund.. as clearly they will be checked on return..

This happened to us and I'm in shock at the attitude of this manager.. very cold response and implied we are liars too!! I'm in contact with customer services but how can I possibly prove I'm honest !! Never use this place again .. if u do check your products

Smyths should check they're larger products before letting it leave the store with this awful customer returns policy.. shame on you SMYTHS!!!!!

Had a voucher code for £10 off to use if spending £50. Brought the items totalling £63 when trying to use coupon was told only to use in baby department. I ordered 3 toys for a baby under 1 year old. What do they class as a baby??????

Bought a ice hockey game got home half the stuff missing got to go all the way back to change it.
