About Soton Astrodome
This academic year (2019 /2020) we are doing a strategic program focusing on our Aurora research with year 8 students at 4 local schools. We will also be running several #SotonAstroArt exhibits in Southampton and Poole.
Soton Astrodome Description
The planetarium shows consists of both guided tours of the constellations and current astronomy events which can be seen in the nightsky above England. We also offer an award-winning show called 'We are Astronomers' which features the voice of David Tennant (Dr Who).
The astrodome school visits are run by Astronomer Dr Sadie Jones and a team of Postgraduate and Undergraduate Astronomy students based at University of Southampton.
