We only arrived a day ago but we are very impressed with this site. Travelled into Poole today on the bus. Bus stops are just outside the main gate. We are going to purchase a 7 day bus pass, so that we can travel either way. We are going to try traveling to either Wareham or Swanage tomorrow. The site is very impressive and is full, which gives you some guide to how good it is! Well worth a visit if you are looking at a holiday in the Poole area.

We have just had a perfect romantic Easter weekend in one of the Romany Gypsey Caravans.... Absolutely loved it! The caravan was beautiful, fitted out to a very high standard and had a very effective log burner effect heater which kept us cosy over an otherwise rainy weekend.

Staff are friendly and welcoming, the shower and toilet facilities are always spotlessly clean and the small shop stocks any essentials along with fresh breadand pastries daily.

I can't reccommend South Lychett Manor enough. This was our second visit, we camped last summer, and we will definitely be back with our tent this summer.

User

We have been several times and the quality just gets better. The grounds are immaculate the staff are friendly and helpful. We have two dogs and there are great walks and amenities for them. I would recommend to anyone

User

Really friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Immaculate showers/toilets. Great secure dog walking area. Loved the fresh eggs, bread and croissants from the shop. Word of warning though you have to get the fresh stuff early as it’s so good it goes quick!

User

Our first family camping trip and we loved it!! Amenities clean and had everything we needed! Staff were so helpful and welcoming we can’t wait to come back soon!!!

User

Our first camping experience with the kids. What a fabulous site. Spotless, so well maintained, fantastic staff, wonderfully warm fresh croissants every morning from the well stocked shop. We will be back!

User

Just spent a fabulous week at this site. The wardens are all so helpful and friendly. The site is great. Freshly baked bread , scones and croissants every day. Showers are very clean with plenty of hot water. There is a fenced off dog walk which is great. It is ideally situated for Poole , Sandbanks , Bournemouth , the list is endless. Already booked for next year. Best site ever.

User

Just had a fantastic week here with hubby, 2 grandchildren and the dog in our tent. Despite the weather we all had the best time ever! I can honestly say this is the best campsite we have camped on, exceptionally clean, tidy and beautifully well maintained. Absolutely 100% child and dog friendly, a great play area, huge off lead dog field (with poo bags provided!), Dog friendly cafe and pubs nearby. The staff here are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, a very friendly and family like atmosphere. Thanks guys, we'll be back!

User

Had a lovely weekend here meeting my sister's and their partners as we're at 3 different points in the UK. Lovely campsite, very clean and nothing negative about it. Big playing field adjacent to pitch sites. Little shop with freshly baked morning pastries and bread as well as all essential needs. Friendly staff and well situated to explore that area of Dorset..we went to Monkey World..Lovely place.

User

Had a lovely long bank holiday weekend camping . We last visited this site 8 years ago with our caravan and loved it then . Standards havnt slipped at all its still an amazing site.

Facilities are clean , staff are extremely helpful , well stocked shop with gorgeous baked pastries every morning . Already planning a return trip for next year . Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Poole

User

Currently staying here and wow, what a beautiful site. Everything is so clean and so much attention is paid to the little details. Ideal base for touring Dorset and the Jurassic coast.

Quiet and peaceful and the staff are so friendly, this is amongst the very best sites I’ve ever stayed on.

User

Beautiful clean and well kept site. The staff are wonderful. Due to a stupid error on our part we couldn’t catch our ferry to France and despite being fully booked that night they managed to find us an emergency space. So helpful. Thank you everyone!

User

So our 3rd visit to this lovely site! No longer owning a tent we opted for a couple of nights in the Romany Caravan! I do feel the weekend rate per night is a little steep though.

Clean tidy, very cosy & very warm during the day but very chilly at night, thankfully the electric fire took the chill away. The decking was slippy in the morning so extra care is needed.

Our whole experience was positive, OK the shower & toilet block opposite was always very busy, and unfortunately others didn't have the same high standards to keep them clean after themselves, especially the unisex bathroom, perhaps because it was so busy others didn't want to tidy up?

The piped music & flowers are a nice touch in the bathrooms.

Staff were always welcoming and friendly and helpful. Dylans cafe is perfect for a lovely breakfast.

We loved the ducks passing by in the morning We've lovely memories as a family at this site and hope to make a few more, health permitting.

User

Lovely clean site. Very helpful staff. Excellent facilities. Booked a deluxe pitch but a little disappointed with the lack of guiding of boundaries felt a little bit in the way which was a shame as there were lots of pitches with more space which we would have benefitted from as we were a family of 5.

Excellent location for getting out & about with so much to

do & see in the area.
