Southampton Hydro Team

We are a group of students from the University of Southampton who aim to design and build an autonomous boat that will travel unaided across the Atlantic.

Our aim is to design, build and race an electrically-powered boat in Switzerland. We will be competing with the best engineering universities in the world during the Hydrocontest 2017.
Our goals go beyond winning the race prizes, we endeavour do develop new ideas of commercial significance, to raise the awareness of the general public to the maritime challenges and to inspire the younger generation by interacting with them through various outreach activities.
