To everyone receiving their results today, good or bad, we hope you realise that you've achieved a lot, and wish you luck in whatever the future holds. Congratulations on reaching the end of a tricky and stressful period!

We haven't posted in a while, but Nightline is open tonight to listen to your calls :)We haven't posted in a while, but Nightline is open tonight to listen to your calls :)

A note to all those who have applied to Volunteer. Can all application forms be emailed to nightline@soton.ac.uk by the end of tomorrow (Jan 31st)?
To everyone else, we're open 8pm-8am term-time phone, and 8pm-1am on IM. We'll listen, not lecture.

Application forms and info have now been sent out to those who have expressed an interest in volunteering!
If you were expecting more info, and you haven't received this email, give us a bell at nightline@soton.ac.uk with the subject line "I didn't get an email", and we'll forward all the right stuff to you.

User

Hi all! This week is the last chance to sign up as a new volunteer and join Nightline this year.
Info will be sent out to the mailing list soon, so message this page, or email nightline@soton.ac.uk to put your name down :)

It's no worries wednesday, so if you're on campus today then come say hello to some of our lovely volunteers in the union and get some goodies!

User

Today is #worldmentalhealthday and as something that can affect anyone it can help to talk to someone! We are open until 8am to answer your calls (or chat on IM) - we always listen and we never judge ๐Ÿ˜Š

Nightline is now back up and running after easter. Don't forget, we're available to call on 02380 595 236 from 8pm - 8am. and on instant messenger from 8pm - 1am via the link on our webpage http://southampton.nightline.ac.uk/

Nightline is still closed for the easter break, but it may be worth taking a look at this article if you're interested. It brings to light that fact that despite the medical world's best efforts, mental illness is still losely defined. It is certainly not unatural for anyone to feel depressed, and that's one of the first hurdles to clear on the path to wellbeing.

This week is eating disorder awareness week. See the link below to find out more. https://www.b-eat.co.uk/suppโ€ฆ/eating-di sorder-awareness-week

Nightline isn't just here to listen, we can also provide details for other services you think might be able to help you :)
For example, see the link below. 90% of students feel anxious, lonely or under pressure and 40% feel regularly (at least once a month) depressed so if you feel this way; you're not alone. http://studentsagainstdepression.org/
