What a beautiful place! Everybody work so hard here to make this site great and welcome. Entertainment brilliant, plenty for kids. We will comeback again and again, can recommend to visit this place you will not regret. Big thank you to all team who works here and make our holiday perfect!!!

User

This was the second time me and my family have stayed with yourself and both times the camp and staff had been truly amazing will be recommending to all my friends, and if you have little kids like ourselfs it's the perfect camp site lots to keep the kids entertained.

User

This was my first holiday as a child around 7 years old and I'm now 35 and still holidaying here, this year I'll be taking my own daughter. It's such a great site for couple and families. The beach is stunning and we love having a drink in the bar watching the sunset. It's so affordable and the chalets are great value...sitting outside with a BBQ in the evening drinking Lidl wine, it doesn't have to cost a fortune. This is somewhere that I'll always return to, I just love it!

Stayed here for May half term with my husband and two daughters (aged 10 & 8). We had an A6 chalet as that was the only accommodation left available when we tried to book and we are so glad we got this!

The chalet was huge!

My girls had a room each bigger than they have at home and we had a good sized double room.

The lounge was spacious with a comfortable corner sofa, TV with free view and a dining table. There were large patio doors leading out on to grassy area just shared with the chalet next door.

The kitchen was a good size also, with a modern cooker and microwave and oceans of cupboard space! Only suggestion is that it would have been useful to have had a toaster.

The site itself is just perfect for a laid back, peaceful retreat. There are numerous play parks spread around the parks for the children, as well as a tennis court and pitch and putt.

This is also the perfect base for those who like cycling. My husband is a keen mountain biker and spent many hours exploring the coastal paths and sand dunes - only occasionally finding himself a bit off course and on the beach!! Although we took our own bikes there are many places locally that hire bikes at a low cost.

One of the best aspects of this site is that they are not money grabbing as you see with some of the chains I.e haven, park resorts. There are no ‘camp characters’ that they have soft toys/merchandise of that they constantly advertise and market to the children - limiting the amount of pestering to buy things!

There are two little arcades which just have low cost machines for the children and even have little tuck shop so they can get some cheap goodies for 10, 20 or 30p with their pocket money - much cheaper than the shop! The two main bars are only open in the evening, although the Bay Bistro which serves food from morning til night has a limited amount of wines, cans and bottles if you fancy an afternoon tipple!

The pathways to get to the beach are a little challenging but it is so worth it, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, including abroad, definitely worth the walk. I have mobility issues but just about managed to get up and down- the path by the Bay Bistro was easiest for me. I think my will to see the beach was too strong to let my disability get in the way!

I have to say though, our favourite part of the whole holiday was being able to sit outside the Sands Bar/Bay Bistro in the evenings watching the sun set over the ocean, with a view stretching from St Ives one end to Godrevy Lighthouse the other, the colours in the sky providing a different backdrop every night - just magical.

Altogether an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to go back again!

User

Me and my Biker mate stayed here at beginning of July 2018. We stayed in a 2 bedroom A4 Chalet to use as a base for exploring Cornwall. What a brilliant site!, could not fault it . Site was clean ,well kept garden areas , brilliant clubhouse with great entertainment each evening, the staff were all friendly and helpful and a well stocked site shop to boot! . Would definitely be back and will recommend to all my friends!!.

User

Just got back from 4 nights here. It’s a lovely campsite. £13 a night is the right price (without electric hook up). The new shower cubicles are so super clean and powerful hot water - sometimes too hot.

Got nothing to complain about. Also visited this place in 2006 which was 12 years ago. It’s still the same but with more improvements. We will definitely be back again.

User

Just done our 10th year in row. Love the place cannot fault it. The chalet, the grounds, the staff, the bistro all of it is great. Can't wait until next year already.

User

I come here every year and i love it !! its my home away from home our accomodation has always been perfectly clean , the staff are always friendly and helpful and i always look forward to coming back next year, five stars from me

User

Had such an amazing week here. Clean lovely caravan and clean site, such helpful staff. The sands bar has great view over beech to watch sunset. lovely sea view also from caravan. Amazing beech just a short walk away although rather steep sand dunes back up .can't wait to come back later this year

User

First went here with my parents when I was 4 and have great childhood memories of holidays here. Just come back from a week with my husband and little girl 35 years later. My parents were there to. So many happy memories. So many things to see and do. Love watching the sun set at Sands Bar and seeing my daughter swim in the sea for the first time. Hoping to go back again next year and many more to come.

User

First time staying here, we have just been down for week, home today (sad face) but booked for two weeks next year (very happy face) our caravan was lovely, the view was stunning, we ate at bay bistro most evenings, the food was lovely and very good value for money, staff all polite and helpful. Roll on this time next year xx

User

Fantastic place. We had a caravan on the sea front. Lovely & clean & well equipped. Previously we’ve stayed at other sites in Hayle for the past 7 years but this place was far better . We’ve booked again for next year but couldn’t have the same caravan as it’s already been booked, so we settled for one behind it. Can’t wait to return. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

User

Fantastic holiday park. Have been a number of times and loved it. We stupidly decided to go to a haven park nearby which was meant to be cheaper but after them getting our booking wrong and not caring, St Ives Bay managed to find us something and with an offer on it turned out to be the same price! Nothing was too much trouble and they sorted us out linen and keys out of hours and even let us do a Monday to Monday as we were planning at the other park. I can’t praise them enough. We have sure learnt our lesson. Thank u St Ives Bay for saving our holiday. Xx

User

Absoutley brilliant place i used to go every year as a child for 12years and brought my own children here for the first time in june was amazing we all had a fablous time caravan was beautiful and we had everything we needed and was right next to the pool and short walk to the beach views still as beautiful as i remmber as a child lots to do will defintley be returning again thanks x

User

We got back yesterday and had a fantastic holiday. We’ve been for the last 6 years and have booked again for next year, the only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because of the evening entertainment. It’s been exactly the same for every one of our visits. Even Mr Eerius’ set was the same the children’s room have the same people every year with the same tricks as well. Time for an update maybe!

User

Love this place been coming for 16 years but about time you fixed the problem of people smoking right outside the club doors I’m sitting as far away as I can from the door by the kids room to play bingo and the smell of fags even gets that far it’s disgusting really spoils the evening.

User

Great place just needs the club open at dinner for a few hours as nothing open at all and think this was only thing missing from the holiday

User

Camping holiday here recently. 2 adults and 4 children.

Good points of the Park - great swimming pool. Good size. Never felt too busy.

Staff very friendly.

Extremely quiet at night which was wonderful with the sea as the background noise.

On site shop has good supplies and reasonably well priced.

Bad points of the park - dated cleaning blocks. The ladies showers almost felt dark, very poor lighting.

There isn’t really anything here and the beach with 4 little ones was absolutely hell due to the steep hill (we could have gone to a different beach but didn’t realise how hard the journey back up would be)

Room for our tent and one car on our pitch. So small. No area for sitting out and no area for the kids to play due to stone road.

9am check out!!! For a tent is ridiculous.

Personally wouldn’t come back here. This could be an amazing park but needs some updating. It’s like they are just cramming everyone in for as much money as possible.
