So proud of Jenny Pike and her team who served up a fabulous Christmas lunch again, as they do every Friday at the Haven lunch club. ‘Lunch is for life, not just for Christmas’!

The Carols by Candlelight Service is always rather magical. A chance to stop and be amazed by the Christmas story at an otherwise busy time of year.
Come and join us this Sunday for our Carols by Candlelight service starting at 6.30pm

The Hot Drinks Ministry that’s run by the New Song Café team has been a really good opportunity to reach out to people in previous years. By offering a hot drink, they’re showing those people that they are not alone.
If you’d like to get involved, please message Becky using the address below.
Craft Club is on this week and we’re going to be meeting for a pre-Christmas chat and some cakes. In order to maintain our cover as a Craft Club, I’ve come up with a paper stars activity! We can make lots of these into a garland if you get into the swing of it, or just stick one on a Christmas card if you only achieve one!
Please bring any Christmassy paper that you’d like to make your stars out of and your paper scissors. I will provide both paper and scissors but you might... prefer your own.
Cakes and hot drinks will be provided, and if you just want to chat and not worry about the stars, that’s fine too!
See you at 7:30pm!
Love Sophie x
PS The link below shows how they are made if you want to practice!

Start Advent this Sunday with an hour of meditation
Craft Club is on tomorrow and Clare will be showing us how to make life-sized robins from wool.
These cute little robins are perfect to cheer up your Christmas decorations. We are particularly fond of them because of the saying “robins appear when loved ones are near”.
No need to bring anything other than yourself! Biscuits and hot drinks will be provided as usual. Hope to see you there, from 7:30-9:30.
... Love Sophie xx

Please do pop in to St Mark's school on one of these consultation events to see what the proposals are for building a new all-through primary and secondary school on the current school site. Great opportunity to get to know the school a little better, and feel part of these exciting developments.

Big congratulations to our much-loved Bishop Jonathan on his appointment to become Dean of York. We'll miss him a lot. Let's be praying for him, and also for the discernment process of appointing a new Bishop of Southampton.
So, St Mark's, as we think about those less fortunate than ourselves this Christmas, how about we try to see how many of these we can donate before Christmas? https://www.scn.org.uk/…/Eve…/Love_So uthampton_Homeless.aspx
A feast of festive carols and heart warming songs followed by a feast of food! Book your free place via ww.eventbrite.co.uk/Mistletoe Gifts - Entry by donation
