Yummy food and amazing service despite visiting on St Patrick's Day when it was very busy :)

Wonderful. These guys went above and beyond to make our wedding day so very special. Can't find the words to express our gratitude properly. To Kevin, Paula, Rich, Hayley, Frank and the bar staff: you're legends.

Went for the bottomless brunch; great food! (My fried chicken strips were well crispy 😍) and we were well looked after by our lovely waitress Jen! Will definitely return 👍

We bought a deal from wriggle for a bargain roast dinner which was for me & husband. When we got there we had our almost 2 year old with us, the bar staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, they spoke to the chef if he was happy to do a child’s roast & they came back & said they will do him a roast with mixed meat for free! We were more than shocked and amazed with that offer! The food was incredible, my husband & I had chicken which was cooked to perfection. There was no shortage of food, the chicken was huge, three huge roasters, a Yorkshire pudding as big as my head, a stuffing ball made with sausage meat, buttered green beans, carrot & swede mash, new potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower cheese & a pot of gravy that I would have easily drank! My little one had beef & pork & as well as all the trimmings. Everything was cut up into bite-sized pieces for him too! Their attention to those small details as well as having smaller cutlery for him really made things amazing. The bar staff were so kind & accommodating which made our experience even better plus the food was so good we will be back for sure!!

Very cool, relaxing, well-managed place to be in Bristol! Delicious food and extremely nice staff. Some of Bristol's top of the range bands play here too.

Thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with some girlfriends. Food was amazing, service was excellent and my glass was never empty. Couldn't have asked for more.

User

Sunday roast was amazing and there was freaking loads of it I went home and wept thinking how good it was

User

Quirky place. Good food. Bottomless Prosecco brunch was truly 'bottomless'. Frank the manager was friendly and had great sense of humour. The chef also came along for a chat. We had a great time would definitely recommend! The outdoor space also looked inviting, sadly the weather was not.

Had a great time at steam, lovely place and fantastic staff. Incredible food from the bbq

Had a Christmas family meal here on Saturday evening WOW AMAZING quirky place and staff so welcoming made us feel at home, FOOD was out of this world the pate was homemade and to die for, the prawn cocktail was amazing taste and presentation turkey roast potatoes and veg you could not fault my husband always complains when we’re out but even he could not find anything to complain about. The beef just fell apart. Ben the chef even took time out to come and speak to us lovely chap. Thank you to all the staff at the steam you gave us a wonderful evening.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fab food. Beer off the tap is the best around Clifton. Highly recommend if meeting friends or having a works shindig!!! :)

User

Excellent place. Played there over the weekend, the food and drink were great, brilliant atmosphere and wonderful, friendly staff.

Came for the bottomless brunch yesterday, food was delicious and staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming again!

Another fantastic event at Steam. I'd never seen one of the smaller jazz gigs and it was a small and intimate venue. I took one of my friends down to Steam for the first time and he was very impressed!

User

Absolutely cracking birthday here! Glasses always topped up with bottomless prosecco roast and service was top notch! I didn’t catch your name but I hope your jet lag has passed!!!! You would never have know you were ace! Will definitely be returning... with Archie the dog of course! Can’t wait to come back! See you soon!!!

User

Our first time for a quick beer, lovely feel to the place, will be back with a bit more time to spare

User

Easy surroundings, eclectic surroundings, mellow & comfortable patrons - reminded me of good old fashioned pubs but with comfortable covered outside (didn't it was cold) and food of a good standard 👍🏻 Will be going back 🍻

User

I went for the bottomless Sunday lunch. The staff were really nice and brought us lots of drinks but the food was abit of a cock up.... gave people the wrong meats and it all came out at different times... and hardly no veg at all !! Shame as it had the potential to be really yummy just needed to have the right meals and all at the same time with quiet abit more veg. When we asked for more there was none left. Hopefully just a off day. Lucky we were abit tipsy so didn't mind to much. Food service needs working on.

We went here for the ‘bottomless brunch’ on Saturday, before heading home from a hen do. We called and booked months in advance and checked (with Frank I think he was called) that a few of us wouldn’t be drinking as we were driving home straight after... we were assured that was fine and that we could order off the menu when we arrived. So I paid the £28.50 for 10 of us and were excited to visit.

Well I couldn’t be more shocked/upset and disappointed if I tried. Denisa is the rudest person I have ever come across and she needs a LOT more training if she is your trainee manager! She told us we were liars and that the 2 of us not drinking were not allowed in the pub if we were not having the bottomless brunch and she bluntly implied that we would be drinking the alcohol just not paying for it and she couldn’t trust us... even though our cars were in the car park. When a member of my party said she was taking us the wrong way she scoffed, told us we had an attitude problem and said if we didn’t like it we could all leave and not come back bearing in mind we were near enough the only ones in there and had already paid £285 to the place!

Luckily after a rather awful half an hour with Denisa, Simon managed to smooth it over and agreed to let us join our friends at the table (by this point the hen party was ruined and we had all lost our appetites)

The food was average at best and not worth the £11 it was being sold for... pancakes were hard and the bacon was burnt. Had to ask for cutlery, sauces, salt.

Most of us were not drinking due to driving home or being too hungover, however... we were told that they work on one bottle per head so bare this in mind if you are planning to go for a true ‘bottomless brunch’

Just to reiterate to Steam- if you read this... That lady’s attitude was absolutely appalling, she made no attempt to be polite from the word go and refused to move us to a larger table. I would seriously reconsider ever leaving her in a position of power ever again, she is not fit to be left in a customer facing role.
